Ok guys I was having a little debate with Deadai about Kabuto vs Nagato and he was stating some good points so before you read make sure you give him some rep for helping me since this was a 50/50 thread, we both put in work into this thread and I hope you enjoy. :)

Kabuto and Nagato are both extremely powerful opponents and are both overestimated and underestimated at times, so I will be sharing some of their jutsus so that you can get the break down of what they can do :)

((((((((( Edo Tensei and Gedo Mazou are restricted )))))))))))

Animal Path: Allows Nagato to summon various creatures such as Giant Centipedes Hounds and birds that are a smal portion of Nagato's vast power. The one that I find will have the most impact is the Giant Multi-Headed Dog which is shown here in this picture, these Giant Dogs have the Ability to split when struck and is continuos, these dogs must be permanently taken care of or they will be in the way for Kabuto.

Asura Path: Is one of the most underrated paths that Nagato possesses, this grants Nagato the ability to use mechanical weaponry such as blades, missiles and other projectile weapons. It can fire multiple missiles at one target allowing a constant bombardment of attacks that can be deadly if used in the right manor, this can out the opponent on the offensive side giving Nagato the advantage of performing another attack while the opponent is attempting to deflect or counter the attack. Nagato can also use the projectiles or blades in conjunction with his Bashō Ten'in to deal a deadly blow.

Preta Path: Grant Nagato the ability to absorb jutsu countering any jutsu thrown at him, pretty straight forward nothing much to talk about.

Deva Path: Grants the ability to push and pull objects towards him, this technique is somewhat unguardable unless you can use a speedy technique that can quickly put Nagato on the offensive such as Kakashi's Chidori or Kabuto's Shadow Snakes technique. This ability is also able to not only counter physical attacks but also jutsus no matter what the element. This is one of Nagato's most commonly used technique and is also one of the most deadliest.

Human Path: There is very little to write about the Human Path's ability since it is so straight forward, it gives Nagato the ability to remove the opponents soul causing death to the opponent, what he gains from this other than the persons death is the intel the person had, all of their memories and thoughts become his. This is how Pain knew where to go find Naruto but Naruto showed up at the leaf before he could reach Mount Myobaku.

Naraka Path: This Path is also a technique that little can be said about, according to wiki it has the ability to interrogate and restore. Since Nagato will be fighting healthy without the Paths there is no need for this Paths powers.

Outer Path: This Path has the ability to control life and death and is also used to control the 6 Path of Pain which Nagato will not be using so mentioning this is pretty much unnecessary.

Jutsus to be aware about

Nagato has many powerful techniques, he is also a sensor btw :)

Shinra Tensei: is the Deva Path's ability to manipulate force at the user's will to push objects or even ninjas techniques away. Depending on the amount of force the user puts in this technique, it can easily destroy wood, metal, bones and other dense objects and jutsus.

Chibaku Tensei: This jutsu has a powerful gravitational pull and attracts objects to the epicenter of the jutsu itself, it can rip mountain apart adding on to the huge mass that is constantly growing in size. Nagato's opponents can also be lured by the strong gravitational pull and can be crushed by all of the debris.

Bashõ Ten'in: This Jutsu also has a powerful gravitational pull and push but Nagato himself is the epicenter of the jutsu, he can pull and push objects, ninjas, and techniques as well.

Kabuto has many techniques as well that make him the powerhouse he is today

Sage Mode: Kabuto has Sage Mode which allows him to have quicker reflexes and and enhanced speed and power. He can be in constant Sage Mode due to his Jyugõ clan DNA.

Hozuki DNA: This allows him to liquify himself at will allowing him to be permeable to certain techniques, the only weakness in that state is lightning, if he is subjected to lightning it can weaken him greatly as it weakens Suigetsu.

Jyugõ DNA: This allows Kabuto to continuously use Sage Mode for as long as he sees fit.

Uzumaki DNA: With Karins DNA he has quick healing abilities and also some

Kabuto has a variety of snake related techniques as well, he uses a lot of hidden snake jutsu's, justus that cover a decent range, in S/M (Sage Mode) he has a locational advantage where ever he is. He can summon large and/or small snakes and can increase their size in S/M.

Sage Art: White Rage: is a technique Kabuto uses that expels a dragon from his mouth that carries an orb in its left front claw. As the dragon tightly coils itself around the orb, it releases both blinding light and deafening sound. This jutsu causes the opponent to have their sight and ability to hear impaired by this juts.

Kabuto can also summon a large Manda II clone that is more powerful, faster, and smarter. This enhanced Manda is also more bigger than the previous one, so much so that it was able to coil itself around the giant island turtle Naruto and Bee were on in the anime/manga. This can be a counter to Nagato's Multi-Headed Dog summon which is very troublesome for most but with Manda II it will be a even battle.

I know I am not like Derp Obito and DrProof always giving really good threads I just wanted to try doing a thread just to give it a try, this took me a really long time so please read and I hope you enjoy. Once again please give credit to Deadai since he helped me with this by debating with me, so who do you think wins? Nagato or Kabuto

Good points, but I still think no matter how hacked Kabuto becomes, Nagato's still above him. That Chibaku Tensei.

I personally think Nagato's more skilled with the rennigan than Madara himself, since he has more chakra and 3 bloodlines in one body (Senju, Uchiha, Uzumaki) While Madara only has 2 (Senju, Uchiha)

It's a pretty close-fight, but I would have to go with Kabuto, his intelligence would give him the upper hand imo.

Great thread, brings up good points. I think the sheer power and experience of Nagato would trump Kabuto, but intelligence wise Kabuto wins. All we would hear: "SHINRA TENSEI!"

I would love to say Nagato but Kabuto has some beast ass jutsu. Kabuto got DAT intelligence. This is actually a fight where Nagato may have better chance with his Pain form and his 6 bodies. Mainly because of white rage(probably my favorite Jutsu aside from Kamui).

As for White Rage, remember Nagato himself is a skilled sensor.

I think the only technique that would be a trouble for Nagato is "that technique that gives live to unanimated things", otherwise Nagato Stomps...

I think it can go either way.......

shadow snakes=asura path can counter it
ninjutsus=petra path
white rage=nagato is a sensor
manda II= multiple summons will do the job
Hozuki DNA (Suigetsu)+Uzumaki DNA (Karin)= Human path will do the job

as I said before Kabuto only has "that give live to unanimated stuff" agaisn't Nagato which I say

50/50, it can go either way.

BTW: Nice points, stated by DeaDai and Staaaaaark. *****

kabuto said he is the closes being to the sage. You cant even physically kill him in DSM. He can liquify himself from any major attack.

he doesn't really need to almighty push, blow or denotate him, he can liquify all he wants, but "human path" will rip it's soul "it is not an physical thing such as: water, human body" so whether or not kabuto liquifies, he will still get his soul ripped.

Kabuto's best chances agaisn't Nagato are Muki Tensei "yeah I finally remember the name" and Edo Tensei "it is restricted".... so for this match-up only muki tensei would pose a problem for Nagato.

Withour genjutsu, Noone can beat nagato because preta/deva make ninjutsu and taijutsu useless. Kabuto, does not have genjutsu.
Also, nagato can do madara's meteor attack, ut on a much smaller scale.

Kabuto has White Rage Genjutsu and Tayuya's Sound Genjutsu, but Nagato is a sensor, and a very skilled one.
Maybe his sensing skills couldn't be transfered to the paths, because it was simply not possible, but as a skilled sensor, Nagato may have abilities such as the ones SM Kabuto has when trapped in genjutsu (as shown during Kabuto vs Itachi and Sasuke), but yes, that is still debatable.

Good points on both but you forgot somethings. Nagato is initially at a disadvantage being that he's not immune to Genjutsu (chains of fantasia) If kabuto uses this around the beginning of the fight...Nagato's done for but it could go either way depending on who makes the first OP move. You also forgot Chou Shinra tensei and i argree Kabuto would definitely lose if he tries taijutsu.

I'd give this to Nagato, high diff.

Thanks for reading, and I agree. It's all about who makes a move first and what impact it makes on the other.
