i myself is itachi fan but i know powers and limits of itachi and pain. nagato or say 6 path of pain totally destroys itachi. i think pain is worst opponent for itachi bcoz itachi cant seal pain, itachi cant kill the already dead puppets of nagato's 6 path nor itachi can withstand itachi's massive brute forces. and since u mentioned good points regarding uselessness of tsukuyomi on pain so pain defeats itachi is every single battle. only plot no jutsu can allow itachi to kill pain.

The first Itachi fan I saw who said that Nagato could defeat Itachi.

there is no shame to accept what's fact . yup itachi is truely most celebrated ninja in narutoverse and all his moves are so fascinating but itachi knew his limit and so do i. main reason why itachi will loose against pain will be his stamina factor. people overhype itachi saying his O.P jutsu will one shot every one. well in entire manga i havent seen any ninja one shot others with O.P jutsus.

This guy is changing my mind toward's Itachi fans, +rep.

@thread,I was thinking about making a thread on it but you did a great job here, i would like to add some point as well, many people compare his situation to gaara, saying Gaara can get cought in genjutsu while using his Daisan no Me then why can't Nagato?

and while it is true that Gaara can be vulnerable to Genjutsu it is not true that same principle will apply on Nagato, because Gaara connects his optic nerve to see with that jutsu and he is also shown to close one of his eye to use the jutsu, so it is clear that he can get caught in genjutsu via that eye.

But Nagato does not uses his Optic nerve to use shared vision as we have seen in the manga that he does not closes his eye in order to use the jutsu, and it was already stated in manga that his shared vision works more like security camera's...

so he is like a person sitting in a room watching multiple image's of a person from various angel's, but he does not need to strain\involve his real eye's to do that he is still free to look at whatever he want's with his real eyes.

so unless Itachi, or any other eye genjutsu user can cast genjutsu through a security cam, they can not trap Nagato in a eye genjutsu via shared vision.
