She self identifies as an African american. Its no different than Bruce Jenner. Therefore society should not show intolerance and accept her for who she really is. Anyway, now its not how you were born, but how you feel on the inside right?

Yes I know but out black leaders didn't give up.I'm a black female. We are said to have attitudes and slutty. Our natural hair is said to be "nappy". I have natural hair. I was told that I should straighten it to "look white" because I will be completely accepted. I said "No,I will not be a fake person.I will be myself and over come the problems that are put in front of me as a black person. I will make my life better by being myself.I don't have to be accepted by some people but that will never stop me from going my goal in life."

While I have no problems with someone 'swapping race,' either - the reason that all hell will break loose is because the special interest groups will literally break down. Normally, I'd agree. She isn't black - but if that's what allows her to sleep at night...
The problem is that she has used her claim of being black for hiring practices that are sensitive to race. For example - she has claimed to be black in an environment that is required to report its racial composition to the government for Equal Opportunity verification.
This is why us conservatives don't like big government.
Because, now, this has legal implications. We now must legally define race if our equal opportunity certifications (necessary for federal funding) are to mean anything. If I can just claim to be black, when I'm born of a primarily German lineage with most of my ancestors arriving here prior to 1900, and the federal government must accept that for their equal opportunity hiring and admittance standards...?
What's to stop various institutions from exploiting this and insisting that I simply check a box for an ethnic group the government recognizes (where's my "german" box?) just to round out their statistics and secure their federal funding?
Which is why the system shouldn't exist in the first place... but the system developed because people complained that the federal government was funding colleges and creating contracts with businesses that were racist.
Which is why the government shouldn't fund schools and only create contracts that are absolutely necessary.
Because race has both legal and financial consequences, it is not possible for us to simply allow people to report as whatever race they so desire.
Not that the activist groups will allow this. If groups like "black lives matter" can't distinguish their own race's problems as unique, then they lose their privileged status. They won't allow something as damning to their cause as 'you can be whatever race you want to be' to fly. They will end up frothing at the mouth over this.

In many of the Pacific/Asian Islands, white skin is seen as a status symbol. People who are of darker skin have developed a deep tan from working outdoors. White skin is an indication that you work indoors and have a higher paying job.
There are numerous products sold in those regions that claim to whiten skin and many clinics that claim to be able to help people obtain a lighter complexion.
Which is kind of humorous from an American perspective, where people buy 'bottled tans' and spend time laying in the sun to make themselves look darker.

Okay...Is this suppose to disprove my post? You act like there aren't people against transgenders, or that people switching genders doesn't mess with anything legally.
Believe what you want but I'm right. No one can actually switch races but the idea is equality where it shouldn't matter.
