Mystical Chapter 6: Streak.
This one is very lengthy, my longest one yet, Enjoy
(Melody's thoughts: So me and Fangs are walking back to where we set up camp. My eyes are starting to get heavy like they were earlier, but I can't help but wonder why Fangs said we were done with training. Is she mad or something... does she have an idea hmm... I'm sure she just did this to wake me up out of my sleep and waste even more of my time. Looking at her face right now it doesn't look like she's upset or that the training session was just her way of making sure she looks good tomorrow while I look like crap. But enough about her I just want to go to sleep and forget what happened tonight.)
(Fangs and Melody enter the "campsite" where they come across an already awoken Pantatharus)
Pantatharus: Fangs, Melody are you two alright?
Fangs: (with eyes wide open in a surprised tone) Whoa, he can talk?
Melody: Yeah, remember the time when we were eating popcorn watching "Scream" and he asked if you could pass him some then you freaked out like you did just now.
Fangs: Oh yeah, but.... still why doesn't he talk all the time then?
Pantatharus: I don't really feel to be in the talking mood all of the time.
(Melody chuckles in the background.)
Fangs: Well, ok then night night losers.
Melody: Don't let the bed bugs bite.
Fangs: I won't.
(Fangs lays down on her blanket and eventually falls asleep)
Melody: (yawning) Well, I'm going to get some sleep too, good night Pantatharus.
Pantatharus: Wait, before you go to sleep, can you tell me how your training went.
Melody: (rubbing her eyes) Can I just tell you tomorrow, or something.
Pantatharus: Alright then, Good -
(Pantatharus looks over to where Melody is located and sees her already sleeping. He paces around his area a couple of times before laying down and falling asleep himself.)
(The next morning the sky is sunny and cloudless like it was the day before. The air is still with not even a gust of wind being felt. Melody and Lupus are splitting a Granola Bar while Mike scratches Pantatharus behind his ears. Melody looks around and notices that Fangs isn't with them.)
Melody: (chewing on the granola bar) Yo, wheres Fangs?
(Mike shrugs to her question)
Lupus: Maybe, she just stepped out for a little bit.
Melody: Did you see her leave?
Lupus: Well no, but I'm guessing that since she's gone then that must mean that she stepped out for a while.
Melody: (sighs) Yeah I guess your right.
Lupus: (talking under his breath) You better.
(Lupus thinks: I'm so immature sometimes.)
(A few hours pass by and Fangs is still nowhere to be seen. Melody becomes increasingly worried in her absence and decides to go look for her.)
Melody: Ok, guys Fangs hasn't shown up at all and I'm really worried so can we just get up and go look for her.
Lupus: (trying to calm her down) Melody, I'm sure she's alright I mean who can overpower a vampire she can basically rip apart anyone.
Melody: Yeah but there are some creatures stronger than vampires.
Mike: (interrupting their conversation) I'm sure she'll show up any minute.
(Crushing of grass and the conversation of two people are heard by the group. Everyone turns around to see Fangs walking with an unknown young man.)
Fangs: Hey, everyone this is a friend of mine. Streak, these are the friends I was telling you about. Streak and I were catching up sorry I was a little late.
(While Fangs, is introducing Streak to the group Melody stares into his eyes the entire time, becoming infatuated with him in an instant)
Melody: (smiling flirtatiously) Hi, Streak... I'm Melody
Streak: (smiles) So your the Melody that I have to train.
Melody: Your training me?
Fangs: Yeah, I didn't get to tell you the rest. Streak is a swordsman. And I noticed that every time I came at you during the training, you always reached for you flute to parry my attack, sort of like how a... swordsman would. So, I remembered I had a friend who lived here that could train you in using your flute similar to a sword but instead of slashing you will probably just cause blunt-trauma which is still effective. So, is that cool with you?
Melody: Yeah, definitely if that's cool with Streak
Streak: Of course, I'll be here to train you until you get it right.
Mike: That's what she said.
Fangs: (rolls her eyes) Ok, well I guess you two should go get training we'll stay here and have some dinner ready for you.
( Mike and Lupus jaws drop at Fangs statement , but Melody takes it as an incentive for her to leave with her newly developed crush which she does and the two scurry off into the distance.)
Mike: So, are we really making them dinner because that is really nice and strange of you to offer.
Fangs: And, what do I look like... the maid.
Mike: So... there's not going to be any dinner?
Fangs: Oh.. there will be, it's just that we're not going to make it.
Mike: Are we stealing then?
Fangs: Nope... we're just gonna buy us dinner.
Pantatharus: Even I could figure that out and I'm the animal here.
(While the group makes plans to buy dinner Melody and Streak commence their "training")
Streak: Ok, for this first exercise I want you to place your flute in front of you, then when I charge at you I want to see how fast you can pick up your flute and block my attack, okay?
Melody: (trying to focus) Got it!
(Streak unsheathed his Sword for the first exercise. The blade of the sword was golden and was inscribed by various markings and symbols Melody could not understand, but she found her self staring at it with amazement nonetheless. Melody, after finally coming back to her senses, threw her flute on the ground in front of her as requested by Streak.)
Streak: Ready?
Melody: Yeah.
(Streak ran toward Melody with his sword intending to strike, just as Fangs had done during the training yesterday, Melody awkwardly dove for the flute and in the nick of time, blocked Streak's sword with her flute.)
Streak: (now gently pressing his sword against the flute) Nice job Melody, you're reaction speed is amazing though the dive for the flute was weird. (laughs)
Melody: Thanks, and yeah it was kind of strange.
(The area where the sword and the flute meet start to glow, to Streak and Melody's surprise. An unseen force then pushes the two wielders apart from each other.)
Melody: (laying on the ground looking at Streak) What was that?
Streak: (rubbing the back of his head while sitting himself up) I don't know that's never happened to me before, how 'bout you?
Melody: No it hasn't happened to me either.
Streak: Hey, um... do you think it would be okay if we cut training a little short today and just hang out for a little bit.. if you don't mind of course I know how important this journey is to you.
Melody: (smiles) No,no i-
Streak: (interrupts sarcastically) So, you don't want to hang out then.
Melody: (smirks) I would love to hang out with you then.. since you practically forced me into doing it.
(The two laugh and walk away from their training site to go elsewhere. Meanwhile, Fangs, Mike, Lupus, and Pantatharus walk out of a store with a bag of food that they intend to eat for their dinner.)
Fangs: I can't believe that lady was gonna charge me $12.50 for this chicken... $12.50?... Please I can get this for 3 dollars in my old neighborhood.
Pantatharus: But that is a whole chicken if I'm not mistaken so... $12.50 seems like a reasonable price am I not right?
Lupus: Don't even bother.. she's just angry she can't get everything cheap..
Fangs: Got that right.
(Suddenly a puff of smoke appears before the group. A middle-aged looking man with 5 rows of jagged edged teeth erupted from the smoke and beamed towards Fangs holding the bag of food in front of her. The man placed his hand on the bag and uttered the word "Explode" which alerted Fangs and ended with her dropping the food bag while it exploded just as the man said. Shreds of chicken and other pieces of food were all over the ground and on the faces and clothing of Fangs, Lupus, and Mike who had all jumped back when the explosion happened.)
Carnage: (gives off a twisted and psychotic laugh) I AM CARNAGE... ALL I SEEK IS PAIN, MISERY, AND, DESTRUCTION. I SEE HERE THAT I HAVE CAUSED ALL 3 HAVEN'T I!!!!!
Fangs: (wiping off the chicken shreds from her face) Look, I don't care who you are you sick freak... all I know is that I paid 6 dollars for this chicken.. money I could have spent some where else but you ruined it ... but that's no reason to start a fight now isn't it.
Carnage: A SICK FREAK AM I!? HOW I LOVE WHEN PEOPLE CALL ME THAT.... THE LOOKS ON THEIR FACES WHEN I DESTROY THINGS THEY LOVE.... IS MY INSPIRATION FOR EVEN MORE KILLINGS...... I CAN'T WAIT TO PLACE MY HAND ON YOUR CHEST AND RELEASE AN EXPLOSION THAT WILL HAVE YOUR BLOOD ERUPT ON ME SO IT SINK INTO MY PORES... THEN THE TASTE OF YOUR HEART .... IN MY MOUTH ..... I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE YOU COWER IN FEAR OF MY POWER AND HOLD YOUR DEAD BODY WHILE YOUR OTHER FRIENDS ARE TOO HELPLESS TO STOP!!!!!
(The group watches as Carnage gives his speech with each of their faces giving off the look of worry. However, Mike's expression goes from that of worry to determination.)
Mike: (serious) Guys, you don't need to be afraid of this guy alright he's like you said Fangs, a sick freak.
(Lupus's thoughts: I've never seen him so serious?)
(Mike rips off his left arm ,that is stiff from rigor mortis, and holds it with his right hand like a sword. Mike raises his left arm and points toward Carnage)
Carnage: YOU'RE CHALLENGING ME... HA HA HA HA........ I GET TWO GOOD KILLS IN ONE DAY I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THE LOOK ON YOUR FACE ONCE I'VE KILLED YOU.
Mike: I can't wait to see you try.
