Chapter 4: Memories
When I woke to a unfamiliar ceiling, and wolves howling. As I try to sit up I see that its black forest though the windows and in a guys room.
I start wondering how I got here.
Where am I? When, wh-what happen???
My thoughts are interrupted by a sharp pain in my shoulder and a crash from down the hall with laughter.
“STOP! It ain’t funny….Your going to wake the girl.” Someone whispers.
I hear a male’s voice that is familiar to me as the guy snickers.
While down the hall, Zacharay keeps sliding into walls on the new tile in his socks on purpose. His Adoptive brother is yelling at him to stop very quietly.
I stumble down the hall falling every now and then. Until I see too boys: A Blondie with an Avenge Seven Folds T-shirt, and black basketball shorts. Then Raven haired skater boy with saggy pants that needed to be pulled up and for him to use a belt. The Raven haired one runs over to me as I fall to the ground again this time because my knees give out.
“Easy now….Sorry if I woke you….” He whispers in ears as he picks me as though I were a feather.
I complain in my head that I can’t speak because my voice is so inaudible as of known earlier when I tried to yell for help or assistance. The Raven hair boy which I’m now just going to call Rave sets me on the couch in a family room that’s open to the kitchen; the couch happens to be very soft. I nod at him as if to say thank you, he nods back. The blonde one comes in and sits in a chair a crossed the couch. I think I’ll just call him blue because of his eyes are so deeply that color.
“Don’t worry about your voice it will come back when it’s needed most.” Blue explains.
When he spoke I flinched on how deep his voice was. Then I realized he quoted a movie, and I smile. He goes to smile back at me just as Rave walks in with a plate of food including cereal, a sandwich, cookies and tea or something that looked like tea.
I **** my head as though I were a curious dog.
“Its food for you, I thought you said you were hungry…” Rave asks confused.
I just shake my head as my stomach growls loudly. Both Blue and Rave look at each other just as a girl looking no older than 6 or 7 with Deep Ocean Blue hair and the prettiest cloud eyes I have ever seen.
My mouth drops as she looks at me and smiles her pearl whites. Not human teeth either more like canines. Blue swears under his breath.
“Madison, didn’t we tell you not to show your teeth when you smile?” Rave asks harshly as he sits on a love seat next to blue.
So her name is Madison then such a beautiful name.
“Sorry Zacky….I forgot.” Madison explains.
Zacky?
“Madison his name is Zackeray or Zach for short not Zacky,” Blue answers.
Then some memories come back to me as though that name was a ice cold drink in the desert. I remembered who I was but not everything. I blushed remembering he had his shirt ripped and saw a 4 pack when my vision was fading in the accident, I blushed hard after thinking about it.
Zach spots me blushing.
“What’s wrong with you?” he asks spitefully.
“Nothing…” I mouth the words wishing sound would come out, and hoping I’m not mute forever cause that would suck.
“Hey have you two seen Jace and Elise?” Madison asks.
“Nah Madi we haven’t seen them since the run this morning,” Blue explains.
