Chapter 5: The Shattering Scream
I just try to keep my head down and eat quietly while Blue and Madison keep talking about their day, ironically if I wanted to say something no one would actually hear me. I looked up from sipping my what I thought was tea which is actually hot chocolate with mint; my favorite.
I wonder how they knew it was my favorite, and who that girl and boy were around Zach at that school.
Big mistake as look up, the whole room was staring at me as though I were food in a pack of wolves. There’s a pit in my stomach of fear; the room spins all around. My eyes turn a olive green as start to cry in fear of the people in the room, even Zach. I realize they aren’t human.
I scream for my life in fear and confusion. This time, sound rings comes out.
Every one jumps from their seats and holds their ears while lying on the ground, then a glass window shatters with a beautiful blue pottery vase full of flowers and water. Although the scream only happened for 38 seconds, that scream startled even Alexandryea as she stopped the sound coming out of her mouth.
Even though it was short, it echoed through the walls of the house. By the time the echoes were no more Bookie was shaking hard enough for her shoulders to shake with her. Zack, Blue and Madison were getting up staring at her in disbelief. A Man looked like Blue only older and a woman with Zacks hair Madison ‘s eyes barge in to the room in panic.
“ Acne what’s happening here?” the man asks Blue, but then sees the girl.
“So this her?”
Zackeray looks up and nods.
“Her name I s Alexandryea Kinery,” Zack answers.
“She has a adoptive brother named Galen and one friend named Clariya. I doubt she knows they are now due to that concussion she has though.”
“I see…Hmmm” he replies.
The woman looks at the mess then at Alexandryea. Alexandryea looks at the woman still crying, the woman gives her a bear hug.
“There’s no need to cry, we aren’t going to hurt you. Please don’t cry.” The woman whispers to her.
As soon as the woman hugs me I suddenly feel better and not so confused. Over hearing Zack, so I have a brother. Does he live here ? Is this my home? I’m starting to get confused again. I stop crying and a wave of exhaustion comes over me.
I realize after that scream I’m wondering if I can speak…..
“C-can someone tell me what’s going on? Please?” I mange to squeak then sniff.
Then in more terrier I realize I’m no longer wearing glasses but can see perfectly fine. Its Blue who speaks but I realize his real name is Acne.
“ It be easier to show than explain but dad needs to give permission first.” He explains.
