I've been really bored, and being an avid fan of the genre, I decided to just make a list. My list, its an opinion, not fact, don't get your jimmies rustled, and start to insult, I will report it. Share what your list will be, did you agree with it, or did you disagree. Lastly, if you are not a hip-hop head, please don't even step foot in this thread, or grace an opinion. How to tell if you are one, or not? If you know Drake, Nicki, or Young Thug, but fail to know Raekwon, Pharoahe Monch, Killer Mike, and Andre 3000. Even worse? if you know them, but thing these guys are trash, then you can step out. Now lets start off the list. Starting with ten, and going down.

Note: I tried to spread it through out the years, so there was an equal amount of albums through the years. Grant it, 2014 was my personal favorite of the hip-hop year, 2015 is looking great tho, and by the end, it might easily have even more albums to appreciate and list.

10. Tetsuo & Youth- Lupe Fiasco (2015)
9. Elmatic- Elzhi (2011)
8. Return of 4Eva- Big K.R.I.T. (2011)
7. Because the Internet - Childish Gambino (2013)
6. Piñata - Freddie Gibbs & Madlib (2014)
5. Run the Jewels 2- Run the Jewels (El-P and Killer Mike) (2014)
4. Good Kid, M.A.A.D City- Kendrick Lamar (2012)
3. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy- Kanye West (2010)
2. Undun- The Roots (2011)
1. To Pimp A Butterfly- Kendrick Lamar (2015)

Honorable Mentions
Cancer 4 Cure- El-P (2012)
R.A.P. Music- Killer Mike (2012)
Control System- Ab-Soul (2012)
Cilvia Demo- Isaiah Rashad (2014)
Joey Bada$$- 1999 (2012)

Now that I look at it, 2012 had a lot of consistently good albums.

But yeah, my list. Share yours. This was based off of how I enjoyed them, impact, understanding, etc. I probably banged with GKMC a lot, but I felt Undun story was more impactful, it was a great story album. All these albums I still listen to, and best believe are in my playlist. Also, if you guys haven't figured out already, check all these albums out if you haven't. I have a lot of albums that I like, that probably didn't crack the ten, or honorable mentions, its just hard to get them all, and they probably didn't touch my level of enjoyment as the others.

Cheers.

Rap God is a song. Not an Album. And its a good decade, you just have to search enough. I can name many rap albums that are respectable.

Mhm, taste must be down.

FHD was incomplete as an album, the beginning was great, but it ended on a sour note. Some of those songs I can do without, and personally just didn't enjoy it as much as these. I enjoyed Acid Rap, it just wasn't better then these in my opinion, chance still has a long way to go.

You crazy cuz. 2014 FHD was a complete album. How did it end on a sour note? Acid Rap was so much better than Because the Internet. Opinions are opinions though.

Surprised to see someone add Gambino to a list like this, not something I see often, though I prefer Camp of BTI.

Knew when I saw you made the thread the top spot was gonna be the well deserved album of the decade.

Meant Marshal Matthers LP 2 Lol, was kinda turnt

No, rap has turned to garbage with electro beats in the past 5 years of existence.

Note to self, Apparently, Love Yourz, Hello, and St.Tropez I could do completely out. The rest were nice, I'm not saying it wasn't good, it was deff his best album as of late. Note to self, and Love yourz, I liked the ideas, but the execution was just ehhhhhhhh.

Because of the internet was extremely innovative as an album, very nice production, and Bino had bars. I could talk all day bout the album, it was legit. And ofc, TPAB is out of this world.

I think you need to expand your search.

Skelethon and Oneirology were amazing, I loved those so much. I can't believe I forgot about those Lol, they honorable mentions in my book tho, but anyone who likes rap needs to check those out. JJ Doom I didn't listen to tbvh, but if you think its nice, I will soon.

That was mad corny son.

I guess I'm the only one that thinks MBDTF is overrated...
