Each generation gets weakeras the world gets more and more peaceful.just look at how weak narutos generation is compared to madaras and hashis now imagin how much weaker hashi and madara are compared to the elder and young sons of rikudo sennin.

Narutos generation have had hardly as much experience.

Hashirama probably didn't have Sage mode perfected at the age of 16.
Madara didn't have EMS at 16.
