1. Kabuto Yakushi
{Snarky personality, plays dirty, intelligent & scheming, fun moveset, mental disorder & great character development}
2. Hanzo the Salamander
{Awesome flashback, used to fight with honour & became corrupted, led a small village against the 5 Nations at war, poison fighting style, great design, tied with the master of kenjutsu with a scythe in his old, controlled body}
3. Suigetsu Hozuki
{Actually funny comedy relief, cool chilled demeanour, motive is interesting and relationship with Karin & his bro are interesting}
4. Obito Uchiha
{Intimidating villain with great powers & mystery with the mask on, the deepest psychologically Kishi has ever gone with the mask off, his defeat may have been the shining point of this manga. Dropped a few places since his return in the most recent arc}
5. Shikaku/Shikamaru Nara
{The most mature and intelligent characters in the series. Nerfed master strategists who come to terms with real adult ways of life. Still remains one of the most developed ninja even today. Did Kishi really write the Kakazu/Hidan arc? Seems too good to be true. And they're put together bc they're literally the same character}
6. Tsunade
{A independent and strong female in a Kishimoto shonen? exCUSE ME. Tsunade is relentlessly brave and self-sacrificing, will stand up to the strongest ninja and put up an awesome fight despite being a medical ninja even though she's hit some of the darkest points of the manga. Stood up to Danzo & gets treated like sh*t by Kishi, but damn she's cool.}
7. Animal Path)
{Intimidating villains who killed Kakashi, Jiraiya and nearly Naruto himself, the animal path has the most fun fighting style in the entire manga and was the threat of my favourite Naruto battle (Jiraiya VS Pain) and Deva trashed the leaf whilst preaching his twisted sense of morality. Nagato is less cool in the flesh, but interesting backstory}
8. Chouji Akamichi
{Another underrated ninja. I too at one point dismissed Chouji as the comedy relief fat guy but during the Jirobo fight was revealed to be a really kind and gentle character who could tank a suicide technique for his friends like a boss. In Shippuden he had even more development with the death of his sensei, near-death and being forced to fight the people he loves. Also he took out Asuma, Kakazu, Hiashi & went head to head with the Gedo Mazu statue. Cough.}
9. Kakazu
{Just a well-established villain and badass all round, nothing revolutionary but one has all 4 elements, a deep terrifying voice and killer theme music. There was a point where I felt like Kakazu could literally kill Team Asuma & Kakashi any chapter, an effect I don't get with modern villains. }
10. The Sound 4
Underrated 15 year olds with some of the coolest abilities in the entire series. Kidomaru & Jirobo got good deaths but the others got Sand ex machina'd.
