My theory on rinnegan

until now no one knows why obito didn't use the rinnegan power to absorb naruto's rasengan,
as we saw in the last chapter once you have an eye power you can immediately use it without going through the hadship of learning it(yep some free power-ups),same goes with rinnegan but why obito didn't use these powers against naruto,you know: banshoo tenin and grabs naruto's head it's over!i think the reason is:

when someone uses the outer path and pain's 6 bodies,he loses these abilities for a period of time,lets say one day,
that's the only explaination that crossed my mind,

if you see in this page why konan moved to protect nagato,while he could have pushed naruto away?the answer is she knew he couldn't use any of the body powers.

PS:did anyone find obito retarded because he put only one rod in each jin,or it's just another case of the famous plot no jutsu?

Obito used rinnegan in six paths of pain technique ...and for using a dojutsu you must need high level of chakra thatz why he can't use it frequently ...he put only one rod because more rods will consume more chakra

Obito took the rinnengan to accumulate shared vision in his resurrected edo jinchurikies... So he most likely divided the power of the paths in to them, so he couldn't use the absorbing power. He most likely kept that part of the rinnengan power that he needs to control the ghedo maze and to make his plan go as he wants.

i think konan stepped in front of nagato because he used all of his chakra already, and the reason tobi doesnt use the rinnegan techs is chakra consumption, summoning juubi and spamming kamui has got to be exhausting. but madara has his back now so i bet he will get careless and start spamming his rinnegan and probably mokutan
