Madara: Knows the Future because of Minato, and because Minatos essence is in him.
MY THEORY:
The Naruto Manga series has multiple instances that allude to being able to ?foresee the future.? Jiraiya was told his future by the Big Frog, and I believe Minato was told his as well. In fact, I believe both their futures were tied together around the same possible scenarios (a good or bad future). As I'll show, Madara somehow is able to "foreseen the future". I believe this is why some people do not believe Tobi is Madara.
The future Madara somehow was shown a "Vision" of the prophecies made by the Big Frog, for Minato and Jiraiya. Both Jiraiya and Minato?s future was intertwined, Naruto being the most obvious example. Madara was able to somehow see this "Vision" because he tried to interrupt Minato's sealing jutsu. (This can help explain how Kushina died preventing Madara from interrupting the jutsu, and why Sora was used as a anime filler, because he was sealed with leaking chakra from the 9-Tails.) Based on this new knowledge, Madara purposely planned to separate his true identity, with that of a dim-witted Tobi, in order to manipulate Pain, and make the future to benefit him... in spite of the 4th, and even Itachi's best intentions. Also, this contributes to the space-time jutsu connection.
This only makes sense when scenes are grouped together as I am doing now. If my interpretation isn?t correct, PLEASE correct me, BUT only if you read through this
#1. Minato?s Vision
But is Jiraiya thinking too deep? No one knows his student better that their Master, something a frog could never understand. People suggest it?s because Minato knew Madara was back, and he wanted to protect the village. BUT why not seal the 9-Tails into some other child, and then kill the child, thus eliminating the threat forever, harsh yes, but no different than what Itachi did. Instead, Minato sealed the 9-Tails into his son. This scene we saw pieces of a puzzle that were falling together, all hinting at a ?Vision" becoming true.
#2. Tobi will be watching Sasuke develop.
This scene happens right after #1 above, in the manga series. Tobi used verbatim ?Snake & Hawk?. These aren't cooincidences, but on purpose.
#3. We see later, after 30 mangas, Sasuke calling his group "Hawk" instead of "Snake".
Madara predicted this in #2. How in the world is this possible??!?!!? Without some method of knowing the future!?!? This premonition defies all odds. HOWEVER, note that Madara made his premonition in the form of a question. He was not sure which direction Sasuke would go. This is because of the simple paradox, that when you know your future, you have the ability to change it... or do you??? Basically, up to now, Madara was already manipulating all the events happening, and was unsure if the others in the "Vision" would come true.
#4. Now, go back 7 mangas, to before Sasuke renamed his group Hawk.
Tobi says, ?Whoooa, didn?t see that coming. NOT. Just as I predicted.?
Madara says out loud that he predicted the outcome. He knew that Sasuke wasn?t going to die. Makes you wonder how? Right?
#5. Bottom of page - ?Madara, what VISION dances before that eye.?
Tobi says, ?The most important thing is to make Sasuke mine.? If Sasuke is so important to Madara, Why would Deidra and himself attack Sasuke?
Actually, Tobi was helping Sasuke...
#6. Pain thinks that Madara and Tobi are 2 Separate People.

My thought on this is that Madara's goal is to get the 9-Tails back, after being sealed by Minato. Pain wants to possess ALL the Tailed Beasts, in order to rule all the Countries. Madara made an incognito persona named Tobi, to influence things, in order to deceive Pain. Why else would Pain NOT realize they are the same person? Unless it is concealed on purpose. Pain is more powerful the Madara, period. Quite the big deception! Tobi could not come out and say that he needs Sasuke alive, because Pain considered Sasuke, ?Trouble.? He told Itachi this, right after it was announced that Sasuke was dead, along with Tobi, from Deidra's suicide explosion. Itachi knew Sasuke WAS NOT dead, but how could he?? It is because Itachi knew that Tobi was Madara, and that Madara wouldn?t let Sasuke die... after all, Itachi was afraid Madara would get to Sasuke, as I wrote in #5.
THE ISSUE, is that Itachi approached Tobi, knowing he was Madara, A LONG TIME AGO, in order to get his help to kill the Uchiha Clan.
After losing the 9-Tails to Naruto, I'm sure Madara did everything to figure out how to get it back. Madara is "dead" in everyone's minds... except to Itachi, Zetzu, Kisame, possibly Orochimaru, and now Sasuke... Yet is known to have founded Akatsuki. You have to wonder when did Pain become a member of Akatsuki, in relation to Itachi's initiation? If the Akatsuki plan comes true, Pain would rule all the different countries as a god. It is surprising to see Pain not know that Tobi = Madara.
Is it just me, or does Madara seem to be OVERWHELMINGLY manipulative as seen in these examples? Why wait so long to get the 9-Tails back? Why the secret identity, especially keeping it from Pain? WHY TOBI for such a LONG TIME! Juries convict people to life in prison when given LESS circumstancial evidence...

#7: What needs to happen for Sasuke to fulfill Madara?s premonition to go from a Snake to a Hawk?
The Snake needs to be removed.There is only 1 WAY to completely remove Orochimaru from Sasuke. This is through Itachi pushing Sasuke to the edge, and then to use his Sealing Sword. ONLY once this happened, would Sasuke NOT be a snake. Madara needed Sasuke to become a Hawk. UNSURPRISINGLY he predicted that this event would somehow happen.
SUMMARY:
The connection between Madara and Minato is around a "Vision," and also the ability to use a "Space Time Jutsu".
I believe the "Vision" it involves the whole ?Snake and Hawk? theme, somehow relating to the 9-Tails and Naruto.
Minato used a ?space-time jutsu,? at a time when Madara could not. Now, in the present time, Madara can? This doesn?t add up. If Madara could have copied it to being with, he would have done so right away, and won the fight. The only possible explanation in my mind is that Madara was infused with some of Minato?s essence, during the Sealing Process.
The sealing jutsu had to be done on a newborn, and Kushina, Naruto's Mother, was said to have died during child birth. I believe that Madara tried to stop Minato from sealing away the 9-Tails, and was about to suceed in doing so. However Kushina, Naruto's mother, just after giving birth to him, used all her strength to keep Madara away from Minato and Naruto, and died in the process, sacrificing herself for her child.
The slight moment when Madara interfered, before Kushina stepped in, resulted in chakra "leaking" from the 9-Tails. The leakage being stored into Sora. The person who did this was Sora's father, for intentions opposite of Minato and Kushina. Why else would this filler be used? This plays well with the whole story.
Could part of Minato still exist in Madara??? Is that why Madara wants Pain to go after the 9-Tails instead of himself???
I know this was a lot to digest. I was the best way I was able to show all the connections. If you think I'm way off... PLEASE CRITIQUE IT THERES ALOT TO CHOOSE FROM! HAHAHA!
