[Technical Issue] My signature picture keeps disappearing. :(

I keep trying to put a animated gif into my signature. It works for about a while then it disappears like if I had never put it there even though when I go into User CP it shows the link is as it should be wrapped by

i can still see it though....
and the difference was that at first you used the link to the page where you found it..
but you're supposed to use the link of the image itself...

It works but I was using tinyurl before and it worked the same. I have never had this problem before, ever. I will use the link you gave me. I hope it doesn't disappear on me as well.

Usually when I upload images to that, they never disappear, even after months, so you should be fine

To answer your question as to why it was disappearing before, the image server you were using wasn't able to handle the amount of requests as well as the bandwidth. Animated gifs can tend to get large. I also wouldn't ever use tinyurl for anything you want to use long-term.

If anything, I would look for somebody with a personal image server who would be willing to give you an ftp account. Of course, you would require that persons trust, as even with a restricted ftp account, bad things can be done to their server.

Well the reason I used tinyurl was to make the address shorter. That way I can fit more in my signature. But thanks nonetheless.
