Gons inner turmoil and realization that Kite is gone and hes not coming back. Blaming himself but internally raging at Pitou for killing Kite. And the effect its having on an innocent kid who never gave up hope on saving him even tho we all knew he was dead.

But the one part that got me the most. Was when Gon was so broken he couldnt think straight and assumed she brought out her doctor blythe to heal kite even tho he realized he was dead and gone forever seconds b4. and begged Pitou to heal kite when he saw her healing herself.

That is how you portray despair.

Kite's death, Gon finding out Pitou can't heal Kite, and Meruem's death. The way Togashi executed Meruem's death had me in tears.

There haven't been a lot of sad moments in HxH in my opinion. Not that its bad, I have Naruto to make me depressed. But the ending of the ant arc was a sad yet beautiful scene.

Honestly, Togashi's such a superb writer. I kinda hate him for depriving us of HxH for at least 2 years now.

Honestly Adult Gon vs. Neferpitou was incredibly epic but I also cried like a baby starting when Killua showed up, it got really emotional from there. Then the ending of that episode as well, it was just incredibly well done. Also I cried at Meruem and Komugi's final moments. I've only seen that in the manga so far, and it was a black background with white text for a bit until you saw him in her arms. Cried like a baby. I wonder if the anime did it as well, I'll have to check it out later.
