Amaterasu: Itachi and Zetsu called this a OHKO jutsu. Called unavoidable and even the strongest ninjutsu. None of it was true. Itachi used this as his last effort failsafe with Sasuke against Madara (Tobi). This tells us that Itachi really believed this would kill "Madara" should he come for Sasuke. It's clear Itachi overestimated this technique's power so he wasn't as strong as he thought he was.

Tsukuyomi: Called the most powerful Genjutsu and unbreakable. None of it was true. Itachi overestimated his power again here. It makes him seem cocky and not fully aware of his own weaknesses when even Sasukes 3T can break it.

Susanoo: Itachis trump card. Strong indeed, but his only goes up to V3 and too many techniques can bust through that level of Susanoo.

Yata/Totsuka: A sword said to seal one for all eternity, that was untrue as Orochimaru came back from it. A shield said to negate any attack. This was untrue seeing as it couldn't negate Chibaku Tensei. They are all apart of the legendary trio so there's nothing to suggest these weapons are any stronger than the Kusanagi.

Chakra: I agree that Itachis sickness affected his stamina but no where near the amount people make it out to be. Itachi as an Edo had unlimited chakra and vitality but there was not a single significantly improved jutsu from him to show us he would have been far above his nonsick self. His Amaterasu, Susanoo, and Tsukuyomi, Katons, etc were all exactly the same.

So my problem with the Solo King is that he wasn't as smart or strong as he thought he was. He overestimated his power like every other major Uchiha has done (and lost) and didn't realize he couldn't solo everyone in the world (again like all the major Uchiha realized, when they lost).

All true, but Itachi is a meme, so his wankers are going to post things like old Black Zetsu quotes about how invincible Itachi is, or databook hyperbole. It's like "Prime" Hiruzen (said to be the strongest Hokage, "defeated" Edo Hashirama and Tobirama at the same time as an old man), it won't die until the wankers get bored of their little game of taking such outdated quotes/feats at face value.

While I agree that Itachi isn't perfect I'd have to say that your thread isn't perfect as well. There are certain flawes within your reasoning.

Edo Itachi couldn't display much because it is common that Edo Tensei revives you in a weaker state.
And Itachi knew exactly that the Sharingan and someone with the same blood could break through Tsukuyomi, he said so himself.

1.) Amaterasu pretty much is a one kill attack in combat situation (for example, itachi would have easily seald or killed tobi, while he was busy putting out flames etc.) also i guess he was limited to how much he could transfer into sasuke. you cant just "transfer" every technique you have. amaterasu was sort of like a last resort kind of thing. also there arent many people, that could survived amaterasu in real life situation. ay survived by sacrificing his arm. sasuke used a rebirth jutsu which wasted all his chakra. pain survived, because he was edo, and obito survived thanks to his kamui/zetzu body parts.... those were lucky cases.

2)Tsukuyomi, especially itachis, is the most powerful genjutsu. sasuke never broke free from tsukuyomi/itachi wasnt using his full pwer during that whole fight. notice how it wasnt in negative (while all tsukuyomi scenes are) look what happened to the younger sasuke, to kakashi etc... tsukuyomi is a one hit kill, even more so, when you have no knowledge over it. even danzo himself said itachi was exceptional at that, by controlling the time within the genjutsu.

3)Itachis susanoo was v3 (full armore) and i think weve never seen such a full armored susannoo being easily broken. also we dont know, how much further he could use his susanoo, we only saw him use it briefly before he died (and as edo) so yea.. he might be able to go further than that.

4.)yata mirror/totsuke: this is just ridiculous. those are legendary weapons. nothing can get through yata mirror (chibaku tensei didnt break through it) as for totsuke, it DID seal orochimaru eternally. what sasuke freed was like a "hocrux" of lord voldemord/orochimaru. pretty much his life insurance. doesnt change the fact, that the one oro, that was inside sasuke was eternally sealed. the current oro pretty much is a clone.

5)itachi was lethaly ill, and only barey alive thanks to medication. mma fighters today call off fights because they get a cold lol, imagine them fighting while being almost dead. itachis illnes affected his body and his mental health (which is 50% of ones chakra, alongside the mental 50%)

itachi outmaneuvred pretty much every enemy he had. never was he caught off guard, or in a situation, he didnt wanna be in. he solod kakashi neg diff, he solod pain neg diff, he freed himself from edo tensei, he would have solod madara as well. theres a reason kishi HAD to make him sick/dead, or he would have solod everyone out there. he was way too smart, thought years ahead and planned better than aizen. he had a vast amount of knowledge and one a once in a lifetime genious. you can hate on him all you want. but even at end og manga dbz-like standards he would pretty much solo your fav ;)

The problem with Itachi was lack of time, he didn't have enough time to unleash his full potential, he was ignorant of the Kamui and Orochimaru's seal and he didn't fight Sasuke seriously.

The one with tengu nose that was wielding yata and totsuka is v4. It adds a complete new layer of armor on top of v3, yet v4 was used in the manga like 3-4 times, so we don't really know about it durability. Anyways Itachi's susanoo strength comes mostly from it's weapons.

Tsukuyomi can't be broken by someone without the Sharingan and Uchiha blood, so it makes sense that Sasuke broke out of it.

He was never wrong. Amaterasu was never used at full potential with Itachi.

Current Sasuke has the pre-cog ability to hit anyone with the jutsu bar RSM Naruto, but even then he can combine it with chidori or Deva and it will still be unavoidable.

By that time in the manga Itachi had a jutsu only JuubiJins, prefect Jins and Rinnegan users could counter. That was about only 5 people in the entire NV. So yes it is the most powerful physical attack considering TSB only requires simple level Sage Mode to counter.

Well, every character was weaker than one ninja or another at one point, and techniques can't be efficient in every battle situation.

Your mistake is looking at only one side of the coin. Amaterasu's reputation was received from how it hadn't been shown to be dodged. No one had escaped it, before it was stated to be unavoidable. Of course that should have been later corrected in the manga, but it wasn't mandatory since we'd seen it ourselves. Plus even Madara's Limbo at one point was deadly. As soon as Naruto and Sasuke got their new powers, that soon changed. You could say that for any technique. Naruto's techniques won't be as deadly forever either. The new generation might actually reciprocate in progress the same way Naruto's generation did in regards to Tobirama's generation.

Although you've got it right somewhere, but your insinuation of Itachi as a failure who overestimated his techniques is somewhat crude and unrevised. Wouldn't you take it your abilities are a surety when you've travelled the world enough and know only a few who, only slightly, could avoid your technique's lethality?

Additionally, Itachi was never shown boasting his abilities, was he? He only made use of them in the way he thought they would succeed. When he planted Amaterasu in Sasuke's eyes, he didn't say to himself it was going to advance his plan.

Plus, the Zetsu's were the ones analyzing Itachi's abilities and overestimating them at every given chance.

Nevertheless,
goodluck with your thread

your problem with every uchiha excluding madara is not suprising.
did you ever stop to think that every situation you put itachi is that "if he did not use it for this specific attack means it's useless against it" type of ordeal is not true?

Those are good problems to have with Itachi, but I still think the main issue is the character itself.

Well, unless you consider his fandom, that is, but then every character is basically full of sh*t.

Tobi already said that Itachi would neg diff Sasufodder if he wanted. He just let Sasufodder break tsukuyomi and made him dodge ameterasu because he knew that would be enough to finish the chakra of sasufodder and extract oro

Who made him the solo King? He's usually in a team with Kisame and when he did fight alone, he died to his little brother. Really the only thing he did by himself was murder his unsuspecting family.

The problem with Itachi was lack of time, he didn't have enough time to unleash his full potential, he was ignorant of the Kamui and Orochimaru's seal and he didn't fight Sasuke seriously.

That can be said for a lot of characters. Minato, Dan, Mangetsu, Kimimaro etc all died super young and didn't unleash their full potential.

Even if he wasn't fighting seriously, he was forced to whip out all of his MS techniques so Sasuke truly pressured him. He was stronger than Hebi Sasuke for sure, but not by leaps and bounds like folks say.

First of all, I applaud you for noticing Itachi as the great Solo Dolo God King.

Second of all, Oro had detached a snake when he was sealed from One-Shot Totsuka in order to be revived at a later time.
