I usually don’t like to do predictions. This is not a true prediction. It’s more a theory (partly confirmed) that I wanted to share and that makes a lot of sense to me. A lot of you might disagree but when you think about it, it could become true. Beware, it's alot of text.
How did Madara turn from a caring, peace-loving and honest child to a hate-filled rebel, that nobody wanted anymore? Why did he fail to complete his childhood dream and what did he make of it?
1. Izuna is his last remaining brother, he focusses his love and deep wish to protect someone on him alone (confirmed)
2. Izuna and Tobirama hate each other. Madara and Hashirama honestly like each other. (confirmed)
3. Izuna and Tobirama try to destroy their older brothers’ friendship and tell their strict and fanatic fathers about it. The fathers hate each other too (confirmed)
4. Fathers and younger brothers set up a trap and want the child from the enemy clan dead. (confirmed)
5. Madara and Hashirama destroy their fathers’ plan and save each other. (confirmed)
6. A fight between the younger brothers and fathers start. The older brothers are forced to watch. (partly confirmed)
7. Izuna and Tobirama kill each others’ fathers. The friendship breaks. Madara and Hashirama get separated. (theory)
8. As he promised to Hashirama, Madara focusses his entire love and will to protect on the remaining brother Izuna. He is everything that he has left. (partly confirmed)
9. Izuna and Madara turn into fanatics. Izuna passes his hatred to the older brother. Their hatred focusses on the Senju Clan. (theory)
10. Tobirama fanatically hates the Uchiha clan as well. Hashirama still wants to achieve peace. (partly confirmed)
11. Hashirama and Madara turn into rivals. Madara begins to hate Hashirama and focusses on training solely with Izuna. (confirmed)
12. Years pass by and the clans keep fighting again and again. (confirmed)
13. Madara and Izuna are getting stronger and stronger, until the older brother starts to go blind. (confirmed)
14. Izuna gives the brother his eyes willingly. His last wish is that Madara protects the clan and uses his gift well. As a blind man, he still fanatically insists on fighting and goes to battle against the senju. (partly confirmed)
15. Tobirama uses his chance for revenge and kills Izuna. (theory)
16. Hashirama still wants peace but Madara denies. He suffers from losing the beloved brother and wants to make the clan stronger. (confirmed)
17. Tobirama sees that Madara stands in the way. He starts to talk behind his back and makes it look like he had killed Izuna for power. The Uchiha start mistrusting their leader. (theory)
18. Madara gets suspected to have killed the brother. (confirmed)
19. Madara is called a warmonger by his own people who get tired of fighting. They mistrust him. He suffers from Izuna’s death and from their mistrust. (confirmed)
20. The clan forces Madara to accept the truce. He has long lost his strong position due to the mistrust and bad reputation. (confirmed)
21. Madara remembers Izuna’s last wish and cannot fulfill it in his current position (confirmed)
22. With the clan against Madara, Hashirama becomes hokage. (confirmed)
23. The Uchiha betray him. His reputation is too bad, to them he counts as powerhungry and false. (confirmed)
24. Madara is stuck. Nobody believes him. He is falling into darkness completely. Pain, hatred, loss, fear of being suppressed and finally a way too high opinion of his own rights for power and of his brothers sacrifice, lead him to want revenge. (partly confirmed)
25. Madara leaves because he can’t stand it anymore. (confirmed)
26. Madara attempts to get his revenge, makes himself stronger with the kyuubi but Hashirama stops him before he can attack Konoha (confirmed)
27. Madara loses the battle and disappears from the world. He fully gives in to loneliness and insanity. (confirmed)
28. Madara remembers what he knows. He strives for control and self-healing. Thus he forms the moonseye plan, which was probably in his mind before. (partly confirmed)
29. Madara combines himself with Hashirama, remembers their childhood dream and believes that only a combination of both can achieve peace and become a perfect being. (theory)
30. Madara believes that only an enforced peace can be a true peace. Again, he wants control. His disappointment with the world leads him to have mistrust in mankinds’ ability to create peace themselves – god complex (confirmed)
31. Returning as an Edo, he sees his failure again but also a change. For now he is too stubborn to accept the change. He is stuck in his plan and lived too long to let it go.
So what was Madara’s big crime? Simple, he put his brother above everything, endangered the clan, the village, the frail peace that was forming and the future. Plus giving in to darkness and hatred, becoming insane. Power combined with insanity made everyone fear/hate him. It’s the exact same crime that Sasuke is committing.
Hashirama seems to be the key figure to connect both storylines. The truth is finally coming out.
And Obito/Tobi was hiding/lying a lot (Kyuubi natural disaster, Madara killing Izuna etc.). Anyone ever noticed how Tobi was telling that story? He left out Madara’s deep love for Izuna (even the name was left out because he simply doesn’t KNOW it) and also left out the friendship and the wish for peace that lies deep within him. Both have been confirmed by Hashirama in the current chapters. And why did Obito leave that out? Simply, because he doesn’t know that all. Ancient Madara never spoke about these very personal things. They were burried inside of him and Tobi is only retelling the history as it has been told by generations. That’s why everyone is misunderstanding each other.
And there we have the true reason for edo tensei and everyone coming back! It is simply truth finding and also making a connection between two generations. And then, achieving true peace. One way or the other. That's why I believe that everyone has to meet so they can face each others' truth.
