Not as much a hidden meaning as there is a reason as to why I ask the questions to begin with. Sorry if I'm being a bit vague.
Elaboration:
We come here to discuss various topics, roleplay and look at the anime as well as the manga; what is our relationship to the staff members and why create such a site to begin with and keep it running still?
The relation of these questions and the reason as to why I ask them is as follows: the reason being that I've seen some dubious attitudes latley, makes me want to know/have you all clarify, the thought intentions of this site and relation between its elements(members and staff members), because it troubles me that there might be a difference between the thought intentions and the real ones.
Maybe I missed the real intentions if they were written when registering here?
Is there anywhere I can read them??
@Scorps: I must say that it is my decision/call to decide whether I'm wasting anything or not, this is important for me, so please do not belittle that.
I beg to differ: the use commons sense is different per individual, and I'm worrying mine is twisted..
I'm just really asking about what the thought intentions are and if they're written anywhere..
@-S-: Makes sense.
You lack of common sense is nothing to belittle. Its actually something quite serious.
You're in an anime and manga community and have been a member for 2 years (almost) during which you have made countless threads with suggestions for the site and community, shared with the rest of the community in multiple ocasions your insights on several suggestions and other issues pertianing to the community and, after 2 years you come to make a thread about the purpose of the site, your role as a member and how it translates into a relationship with the rest of the staff and most importantly what is the purpose of the global rules and how to they fit in the purpose of this community.
I can only see two options: you are trolling us with this thread or you have been trolling us with all your other threads and posts. Because, lets face it, if you don't get the purpose of NB how can you have an opinion in anything pertaining to the community?
And all this because, sorry to say, its common sense to udnerstand the purpose of NB.
I have a question about the site in general and its overall purpose, because I am a little confused about that:
1)What is this forum for(/the intention of it. A not-too-detailed explanation would suffice, thank you) and where do I stand as a member?
2)I know of it being an online discussions forum, but there's always an intention behind it and that differs with the nature of the forum I'm sure, which is essentially what I am asking about, and intention/-s might change with time.
3)I also understand the limitations called 'Global Rules', but not entirely how they play into the relationship I, as a member, have towards a moderator, global moderator and administrator, as that confuses me still to this day. What I mean is, what is the intended relationship between us all??
Really appreciate an answer, and if you would, please take into consideration the forum rules when posting in this thread and if you don't know and are unsure, refrain from posting altogether, thank you.
If you do not understand the question, please ask me to elaborate, and I will do so.
Edit: be serious please..
Edit#2: Is it written anywhere? -_-.. If not, then ok.
Lets take this point by point:
1)The intention of an online forum named "narutobase" should give you a hint but in case that isn't clear, lemme me explain it: This community was made with the purpose of serving as a place for Naruto fans to come and discuss the manga and partake in discussions about it. Although that was its main purpose, as the community grew in numbers, it was clear that the discussion topics should be "broader" and as such, additional sections were created, leasure sections were introduced, the RP came into existence and overal, a community grew into what it is today. And what is it today? An online community, family friendly, about Naruto (primarily) but also other mangas/animes, art and overal discussions targeted at naruto and anime/manga fans or enthusiasts. This is the purpose or intention of NB and its quite easy to understand with, again, common sense. Your role as a member is tobe part of the community by interacting with its members and taking part in the sections it has by posting, creating threads, etc, connecting with other members through vm/pm, social groups, etc, always following the forum rules. That is your role and your purpose: to be part of said community.
2)Its clear you want to deliver a message but you wish us to guess what it is. Sorry to say, I failed at divination class at school and can't guess what you want to say. Why? because there is nothing "hidden" or non present in the intentions or purposes of the site. Its an anime/manga online community. What intention could we possible have behind it? World domination? :sy:
3)Global rules are nothing more than a code of conduct you agree upon to have the priviledge of being part of this community. Their role in the site is to enable the purpose of the site to be achieved in the most enjoyable way possible taking into account the objectives the Administration of the site has for it. The rules exist to make sure the experience is enjoyable and civil for all parties envolved. This code of conduct makes sure that as you discuss manga, anime, vm someone, etc you don't end up ruining the experience for a fellow member. In other ways, its a code of conduct that makes sure your freedom ends where others begin. The purpose or intention of the rules is clear: to keep the community organized and clean, civil and on par with what would describe to be a mature and appealing community where you feel you can discuss or partake in discussions without going through a negative experience. Their purpose is clear in relation to that of the community. And, again, all of these small relationships and connections and reasonings can be achieved through common sense.
Coming aboard the common sense train one last time, non of this is explained anywhere because its common sense. And, the same way we don't have written anywhere how you turn your computer on or how you open your browser or let alone how you type
You must be registered for see links
, we don't have the clear role of this community stated point by point somewhere because its, again, common sense.
