I believe that there is a natural energy on earth, one that has been around since as long as the earth did.
I believe that Shinju came from a different dimension, preferably one that Kaguya has access to but did not show us.
I believe that it fell from the sky and attached itself to earth, where it then began to eat up the Earth's natural source of energy, or Nature Energy as it is called.
I believe that without Nature Energy, the planet cannot sustain itself and so the lands began to die more and more as the Shinju Tree began to absorb Nature Energy the same way that it can absorb chakra.
I believe that after years of absorbing the earth's natural source of energy, Nature Energy became ingrained into the being of the Shinju Tree, becoming a permanent part of it. The same way that a flower would turn blue if it were set into a cup of blue-died water.
I believe that Shinju Chakra + Nature Energy became the natural chakra of the Shinju Tree, almost like Nature Energy adapted and converged with the chakra of the Shinju Tree to become a more powerful form of chakra.
I believe that the Shinju Tree passed this Senjutsu Chakra on to Kaguya, who became immensely powerful and molded the essence of the chakra of the Shinju Tree into a will that created the Juubi. Makes no sense but *shrugs*
I believe that you cannot pass on NE through child birth, but you can pass of Senjutsu Chakra, which would explain why contracting more Senjutsu Chakra came so easy to Hagoromo.
I honestly don know. I'm trying to make sense of all these fillers. You see, the Manga hasn't filled us in on what really happened back during Kaguya's time, and the Anime did, so the Anime must be somewhat partly right but just needs to be fixed. So i'm trying to fix it and make sense of it, but it's hard because so many things contradict each other and it's just starting to make no sense.
