What's the criteria for this grading? How do we determine the impact of a tragedy? Do we take their personal pain tolerance level in account? Do we take support system available to them to deal with it in to account? Some people are able to overcome most devastating situations, some lose will to fight back and some lash out and are unable to handle the negative situation at all. Some get sympathy and people willing to reach out, some have to struggle for even that. Is there a fair number system we can give on each count and then add up the sum total?

More importantly what does the winner get?

A gift hamper from Kleenex?

I mean, it's easily Sasuke or Itachi's. Madara could be up there too, seeing four of your brothers die can't be easy. Gaara for the years of mental abuse, and Nagato is sort of around there.

Sasuke
Itachi
Madara
Nagato
Gaara

Yeah, that's the order I'd go with.

I don't get why Sasuke over Nagato?

Sasuke lost his parents, killed by his brother.
Nagato lost his parents, in front of his eyes.

Sasuke got friends and lived in a peacefull village.
Nagato had to survive as a kid in a ghost village.

Sasuke left his village by choice to kill Itachi.
Nagato lost his best friend when they were trying to reclaim the village's pride.

Sasuke was forgiven for what he has done and was accepted again.
Nagato died, just to realize that he has done things the wrong way.

&

Sasuke had all the female attention he wanted.
Nagato got friendzoned by probably the only girl he knew. ..lol

After this probably Obito, Gaara, Sasuke, Naruto,..
Stop being biased please.

Just for context, I want everyone to picture this in their mind:

I want you to picture going home to find everyone... Dead. Your aunty? Dead. Uncle? Dead. Baby? Dead. Brother? dead. Sister? Dead. Everybody. Now, picture going into your mothers/fathers room to find your other brother with a gun pointed to both your parents head. And shoots. Then taunts you. As your parents lie there dead.

Their is Sasukes pain.

On a happy note:

I have to say, that this is not most pain-full part.
But when you dedicate all your life for revenge and when you got it you learn through about it. That all your life was just an air burble. And you killed persons which you loved most and he sacrificed his life for you.

Sasuke, closely followed by Nagato and the Ame orphans. I have mentioned real life cases of people driven mad, much older than Sasuke, by witnessing a single murder of their parent at the hands of strangers. We are talking about an entire clan and a scene of littered corpses and human shambles, and the murder of his own parents, nothing but an indiscriminate slaughter, and that too at the hand of your own brother.

The trauma is unthinkable. And to relive that, being tortured by your own brother? Sasuke's trauma is too profound to even imagine. Nagato - and the Ame orphans - was the same. He saw his parents death at the hand of Konoha soldiers and then his friends death, again because of medling of Konoha, knew starvation and misery of war. He sought to change it, only to stumble down hard. Other than that, Gaara is somewhat of a contender. Kabuto's pain was more profound. He found shelter and had to kill the woman whom he cherished as his own mother because of Root's scheming.

Gaara's pain was only legitimate till the moment he didn't grow up. After that, he had a choice to leave his village. He didn't. Self-inflicted misery. So, here's my list.

1 - Sasuke
2 - Nagato and the Ame Orphans
3 - Kabuto
4 - Gaara till the point he didn't grow up.

The rest are whiners.

P.s: Naruto and Killerbee's pains are worse than Sasuke? You people are kidding me, right?

Easily garra.
Sasuke coming home to a dead family is not as bad as garra coming home to his father's hitmen. At least sasuke knew love.

Coming home to a bloody street and corpses littered every where and seeing your own brother slice your parents, and then reliving it all in Genjutsu is not that bad? Hilarious.
