Well, I guess if I say that the new chapter was BS, everyone would troll me. So, I will say something in a way that you can follow my point.
1. On Sasuke's change
I would like to say that I am one of the proponent of Sasuke's redemption. Better, everywhere I have been, I always have said that a battle between Sasuke and Naruto will not make sense unless Sasuke goes real nut and lose his mind. Therefore, I am not surprise that Sasuke decided to go angel after listening to Hashi. However, I think Sasuke being redeemed without Naruto's intervention is plain bullshit and poor creativity from Kishi. Why?
(a) If I recollate all the time the series focused on the conflict between Naruto and Sasuke, I can make a complete arc of at least 50 chapters. Therefore, I think Kishi would have used a cheap hype to make people buy his manga if Sasuke has really turn good.
(b) Kishi used many things such as Sasuke under Obito's wings, Itachi placing Sasuke's fate in Naruto's hands, Naruto and Sasuke promising each other a fight to death, etc, to make people buy his manga.
(c) Sasuke taking Itachi's eyes solely to crush Naruto.
As you can see, there are many type of creative work, and I think that the greatest are the one you can revisit and read them again with nearly the same interest and excitment as the first time. If Sasuke had definitely changed as in 627, Kishi's work will not be among these great work. The reason is that Kishi would have kept deceiving his audience all along. This make almost 90% of the story a bullshit, and even more if I had the Obito BS as well.
2. 627 and the entire Naruto series
Similar to the previous, I am losing track of the actual story line of the series. Now, let me tell you that this is an intellectual exercise very far from all the fanboyist craps.
The story is about a boy (naruto) with a rival (Sasuke). Better, it is a boy with a dream which is two-fold. Become Hokage and be recognize by others, and surpass the previous dudes. I can say that he has been acknowledged, but he has not surpassed the previous one yet, at least in actions. Not only Kishi said today that Sasuke's character is dead, but he also hint that the previous Hokages are going to fix the problem of the current generation. Seriously, I am pissed off, especially when I see the fandom very happy about it. Now, I can understand why I see many threads which does not care about the plot. It seems that people only want to see a specific person or actions.
For example, most Sasu-Karin fans are just happy without any care for the blunt stupidity of Karin in this chapter. Seriously, if a manga such as Naruto is intended to educate children, then Naruto is a big failure because I doubt there is any good lesson to learn as for now. Some other inconsistencies are as follows:
(a) Minato died so that Naruto can save the world. But Minato might also come and maybe save the world as well. Of course I don't think so, but the fandom does.
(b) Hasirama is going to fight who? Madara?
(c) Oh my! Orochimaru think Kabuto is wrong and Sasuke is OK. Cheese, Oro is the one who asked Kabuto to take power from others until he is happy. So what makes Oro changed. Besides, is oro a human or a snake?
3. Some hope?
Well, I think there is a hope, and for the first time, I am going to place this hope on three things:
(a) Orochimaru is lying. Seriously, how could he say the truth. He has Hashirama that he cannot restrain, and Minato can be freed as well as soon as Hashirama attacks him. All the guys there are edo tensei, and I believe if Oro plays dumb, he will be sealed real quick. So I think Oro had no choice but to become a good guy for now.
(b) Kabuto is the wild card. Well, I am a proponent for another arc, and I think either Kabuto or Oro will be the boss of these arc. I don't think all these sage mode mentioned were for nothing, and Kishi will have to expand on them. Thus, I am predicting that somehow, Kabuto will free himself from that asspul Jutsu.
(c) My greatest card is the Uchiha brain. First, I think Sasuke can go dark again. This happened many times with Madara in a good-dark-good - ... good-dark pattern. Well, they all go nut when they see their rival shine. I think Sasuke does not know yet that Naruto is Yondaime's son. He also does not know the true extent of Naruto's power yet. Besides, what will happen if actually, Saqsuke's family is related to Uchiha Madara?
4. The fandom
I think the biggest mess here is us, the fandom. We eat every shit Kishi gives, then complain latter. Right now, everyone is talking about the 4 kages. Surely, they are great, but I think we should not take their words for a prophecy. The reason are as follows:
(a) The kages have no ideas of what really happening on the battlefield
(b) They have no idea of the power scale on the battlefield
(c) Hashirama does not even know that a bite of Kabuto's snake will get him numb.
(d) Kishi has mess up many things in the story
So, I am really surprised that no one care about consistencies from chapter 1 to now.
Thank you for following my rant
