That punch is one of the most satisfying moments in One Piece. Still other moments that beats it, though. Keep these reaction posts coming.

And about the Swastika symbol you mentioned. Even though we associate it with something cruel and horrible, that symbol is originally an ancient Hindu symbol, and also means "eternity" in Buddhism. So it has a totally different meaning in Japan, considering the Nazis only borrowed that symbol. Not sure if you knew, but thought I'd tell you in case you didn't.
Wow, I feel extremely corrected. It's very shameful for me to not have known this, I recently adopted Buddhism earlier this year... so I'm still learning a lot about it. Feels bad that I associated it with something like Nazis... excuse my ignorance, and thank you for telling me this.

I just want this guy to see Enels shocked face...
So I found out who Enel is, he's God. Very interesting character, and I like his secret identity, the Knight Of The Sky.

When i saw that punch i couldnt decide what to say between:

WHOOPSIE
FATALITY
C-C-COMBO BREAKER
FALCON PUNCH

The SECOND most satisfying punch imo :)
Hmmmmmmmmmmm...

And I'm on Chap 242. Not going to review every chapter for the past 10, but just 233/34 since those were very significant in introducing new characters.

On Chap 233, last page, the character who seems most interesting to me (going just by looks) are the dude standing up with the long stache, and the one with the sword. Makes me think that there's going to be some interaction between him and Zoro, and a chance of connection between him and Hawkeye. Probably there's going to be a story element of 'generations', similar to Naruto and that he was the previous generations' greatest swordsman before being surpassed by Hawk. Maybe, I don't know. OR he was just a really good swordsman.
On Chap 234, Dai tactician seems like an interesting character. Seniors are always interesting to me. The Flamingo guy is an ehh character to me. Not really attention grabbing. But the big Bible Guy seems cool (weird I know since he didn’t say anything but hey). Big Buddha I’m indifferent towards atm, but I’ll be paying close attention to him. And Hawkeye made a surprising appearance, which I’m cool with.

I don’t like that tap dancing officer guy.

The Rocksta guy who appeared on Whitebeards ship got me thinking… Luffy has yet to face somebody of equal power (and I say power referring to bounty since the bounty is a good indicator of strength, as far as I’ve seen). It’d be interesting to see two 100B characters fight. And Whitebeard… is not what I was expecting. Very interesting choice of design, being a miniature ****ing Hulk and all. And he’s really enjoying his position with all of those female doctors I can tell. Haha, I just looked away for a second at his full body shot page. Every time I look at him he seems bigger than the last time.

And I’m feeling the same way about Shanks as Big Buddha. Can’t make an established opinion on him yet, he just seems like ‘the cool guy’. I gotta seem his real personality under stress and in action before I can really make a call on him.

And lel at that lame shades guy, about freaking time that ******* gets what he deserves. And that big bearded guy is Blackbeard? Not surprised, kind of saw it coming. And HOLY CRAP I didn’t catch that detail of the size comparison of his crew to that small guy standing in front of them on the last page… is everybody with the word ‘beard’ in their name freaking giants? And Cloud seems like the most interesting character of his crew.

Now then! Moving on to an overview of the God Island arc.
I was very surprised to see him going into such a sensitive topic about an island having an omniscient ruler, a God. I know at the time he was taking a very, very large chance of losing a portion of his audience because they may have gotten salty (I know some people just don’t like fictional media even mentioning God or they’ll get offended. I don’t understand it but that’s their choice so I guess okay). I was especially shocked at Zoro not believing in God. A VEEEERRRRRRRRYYYYYY ballsy move by him. People must have went CRAZY when they heard that quote when he first mentioned it. And I like that ‘Knight of The Sky’ guy, Gal (that was his name, right?). Shame he had to get killed though. The funniest thing that I’ve seen so far was when in the middle of the battle Luffy and Usopp started swinging on the vines and Sanji said ‘we have to talk’. That was hilarious. I’m kind of disappointed in Choppers lack of mindset to fight back. He’s kind of starting to look like a Usopp 2.0. But hopefully that changes next arc.

And you know what, I'll just go ahead and say it since we're all guys (probably, not about to look at everybodys gender) here and are mature. Nami just wearing her bra at the beginning of the arc was really distracting. Don't care how that sounds, cus with nearly annorexic bodies such as theirs and the unnatural body proportions, you can expect people to get distracted. I was relieved when she finally put on a shirt.

And that’s about it. So without further or due, let’s hop into chap 250.

8: I ****ing hate this fat guy so much. Everything about him rubs me the wrong way. His design, voice that I imagine in my head, personality, everything about him is shitty. Can't wait for him to die.

10: Ha Haaa, time for Luffy to gain the edge.

12: Nothing too big for Luffy. As long as no blades got him, I'm sure he tanked that crap.

15: Sanji is about to bring a THUNDERSTORM to this guys head.

16: This reminded me. The fat guy is really reminding me of Naruto. He can predict movements like Sharingan, use techs similar to the Hyuga fighting style, and then Luffys 'If you can't avoid it there's no point in mind reading' quote is really reminding me of it.

17: ITS HAPPENING

18: It happened.
Feels good man.

Chap 251
3: She's hot.

5: The Usopp 'Aaaa'? Is that what it's called?

6: lol

7: Prediction time: Enel IS the island.

8: LOOOOOOLL
wtf is wrong with that guy. I like him.

9: It's probably perspective, but his fingers are really tiny.

13: Things are getting hot.

14: OPERATE CHOPPER
OPERATE LIKE YOU'VE NEVER OPERATED B4

And I BET it was that South Bird. I knew it wasn't just going to randomly be let go and disappear. It probably wants to be taken back down to the blue sea. OR travel along with them.

16: AND THE TRUTH COMES OUT

17: Oh, I was wrong. Looks a lot like it though.

Luffys imitations
lel

And I'm sort of confused by that quote she said.
So Norland was always in the sky or something? But I still don't see any gold. And that would mean he sailed across the skies to find a gold island. But it fell or something? I'm just confusing myself more.

10/10 chapter.

You said bounty is a good indicator of strength but thing is, it is not. Bounty mainly represents the danger the person poses to the world Government. In the future, you will see a small girl with a bounty of 79 million beli, but since a danger to the world Government so a big bounty was to her.
Yeah, the guy with 'Beard' in their names are all awesome except one. U_U

Ah. I see.
Maybe it's both the danger and power. After all, you can't be a danger without power (except for the little girl you just mentioned). But I'll see in the future.

Chap 252
I'm really digging the scenery and arena on page 4.

5: I just now started to realize. Guerrillas are crazy strong. 1 of them was able to knock down Zoro/Luffy and Sanji without even surprising them. They're really strong.

Japanese aren't as obsessed about what you and I would call god, and thee is no actual god, it's just a title, one is more of a king than a god and the other a self-absorbed jackass who thinks he is god

I like your reviews but your comparisons to Naruto are just weird

He still doesn't know who Enel is. Firstly he mistakes Enel for Ganfall and then he says Enel is the Island. This is so entertaining.

Yeah just to let you know; Enel is a human.

Some of the Guerilla's aka Shandians are pretty cool. I'll give some names and you'll meet them later: Wiper,Kamakiri, Braham and Laki.

Just shut up man, why would you post this when he is only chapters away from finding this out himself. It's not like they're groundbreaking spoilers, but that makes it even more senseless. Why post this ? can't you contain yourself or do you like to be the guy in the cinema who tells what's going to happen 5 seconds before it actually happens. This is a review thread so just talk about your guerilla friends when he reached that part himself. If he thinks Enel is the island let him think that and let him find out on his own

I don't see your problem. I didn't spoil anything except the unspecified names of some characters which overall are not very relevant to the story. Why don't you grow up and stop trying to either insult or anger other people. It's childish.

I have to agree with Love Cook on this one, and that doesn't just include you, Rinnemaki. People here, who regularly post in this thread, need to discuss what this guy have seen, and not what he's going to see. Even if the spoilers are pretty minor, or even if you just mention a name or two, this guy needs to find out about it on his own.

Seems like my quality in reactions/reviews have gone down some. I'll start doing better now, and stop with the Naruto comparisons. And it's okay about the names. Luckily I read about them earlier.

Skipped a few chapters since I had some extra time, moving on to 256. And in case anybody was wondering, I've been reading from Onepiecebay.net.

1: Calling it.
The one guy who owned the half-house from Jaya Island on the ground is somehow related to the Shobadaba's. Their tattoos really look similar.

2: Oda is an orangutan?

3: I like these profile pages they have of all the characters and their descriptions, makes it easier for me to remember.

5: To be completely honest, I sort of understand his perspective. If it was originally their land, they shouldn't be forced to ally with the Sky people. They should have the choice of staying by themselves, since that's what was originally theirs.

That's like a student buying himself a laptop and the teacher forcing him to share it with a new student he doesn't know.

6: 'Punish those citizens'? Really? They shouldn't have gotten attached to what wasn't theirs in the first place, they're acting like babies who think all the toys in their crib belongs to them. That land wasn't yours so stop acting like your obligated to a fair share of it.
A truce doesn't mean stopping the war but taking/sharing some of their stuff. If that's the case, the opponent might as well just surrender and give a free gift basket as an apology. A truce is backing out of their land and leaving them be. It's their choice whether or not he wants to share his land.
I'm completely siding with Waipa here. I agree with him.

But there's one thing I'm wondering about Gan-fall... is he so persistent of getting a share of land because the people want it, or because he really feels like he deserves it?

7: As much as I agree with Waipa here, I disagree with his resolve to peace. Asking the opponent for 100 skulls of their men will never work.

8: HOLY CRAP! GUYS, HE LOVES PUMPKIN JUICE!! STOP THE PRESS!
THIS CHANGES EEEEEEEEEEEEVVVERRYTHING!

I still don't understand though. Why do they have wings?
Since they originated from Jaya from the ground, shouldn't even the ground citizens have wings?

9: Waipa? A demon?
Not really. I just see him as aggressive about his territory, which is understandable for his role as chief.

10: Not sure what was so significant about that specific bag of vearth.
There's vearth all around them.

11: Strangely intimidating.

12: It's not that I hate the Enel guy or anything. Yeah he's bad, but we've definitely had worse, more annoying characters. But I really want to see him hit in the face.

And I wonder what those 3 tomoes are supposed to be symbolic of?

14: Actually he's a very interesting character. I sort of like him, one of the more upbeat personalities we've seen from an antagonist so far. prediction of his seems on point. But I wonder if he can foresee his death?

18: I can tell Zoro is going to be the one to fight him. Cutting string and all.
And his mustache just makes me think of Zoro. Don't ask why.

19: Nah.
Naaaaaaaaaaaaw. Oh heck naw. He ain't dead.

21: Dude, that was awesome. Super ba.
He LET him get a good stab at him, while he was falling down and still one-shotted him. If that's not soloing, I don't know what is.

22: Oh, a death countdown. I always find these gimmicks interesting.

Great chapter dedicated to Waipa. He's a very interesting character.
Reminds me of Asura from Asura's Wrath.

257.
4: Woah, that's crazy.

5. Interjesting.

6: HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...

7: Man. It was cooler when I thought they were generating those powers on their own.

Verrry interesting, the concept of mantra. This Enel guy gets more and more impressive every chapter.

9: Devil horns and angel wings. I sort of get the 'good and evil' whole package going on there.
But... what the hell do they have dog ears for?

11: I admire his determination.

12: Right on point.

13: I don't understand how he sees with his eyes covered by his hat.

16: Very interesting powers.

18: DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMNNN
'mad me excited for nothing'
You must be registered for see images
19: GUYS
IT'S HAPPENING

258.
2: lol at their directions

3: I really want to see Chopper fight.

10: I like this side of Luffy. Very humble and respectful.

11: I disagree with Waipa's choice of action here. He should've just let him go, but instead HAD to let his ego get the best of him.
But regardless.

IT'S HAPPENING

12: Haha.
A chance stand, he does not.

15: Does he not have a neck?

16: I gotta say, these guys are very acrobatic.

18: That had to have like, zero effect on him.

19: 'pretty tough'? He didn't do anything but dodge.

259.
1: I'm liking the name of this chapter already.

9: So far he has not gotten any hits on the other guy.
Not good.

10: lol, looks like he picked up that lying trick from Usopp.

Zoro should really know how to deflect things. That could really help him in this match.

11: Yeah... I know how much that must've hurt...
That's like punching a cinder block with broken fingers...

14: I'm confused... did he just deflect that thing? OR swing it really hard and create a sharp wind force?

16: I will give so much respect to Chopper if he can beat that guy.

18: Dayum.
He got wrecked.

Hooray, interest :yay:
Some questions for you :

1. your favorite mugiwara(strawhat)/shichibukai
So far... Luffy. I started to really like Usopp but he fell off, his cowardice is really starting to annoy me. Zoro is a close second, followed by Sanji.
And Shichi? Eh... probably Croc. The flamingo guy isn't for me, the Bible guy seems cool but hasn't done anything, and I don't know enough about Whitebeard and Shanks.

2. who do you think is the strongest person in op right now? (he/she should be alive)
Whitebeard of course Lol but besides him, Luffy easily. But those are very dull answers.

I'd say, Shanks aside from those 2. The government absolutely feared those 2 (him and Whitebeard) clashing which leads me to believe he's on his level, Hawkeye is his companion (but he's the captain, and generally speaking, captains are stronger than their crew), he's Luffys role model, and the only pirate Whitebeard has acknowledged. So yeah.

3. Who do you think is stronger between zoro and sanji ?
Zoro by a margin. I believe he's faster than Sanji, he's shown more tolerance to pain than him, so his kicks won't knock him down easily, he's been paralleled with Luffy numerous times, but it all comes down to whether or not you believe Sanji can shatter his swords with a kick. I personally don't think he can. And even if he did try to come at him with a kick, Zoro would just swing his sword and slice his foot/leg.

Sanji is a crazy strong dude, but swordsman are the only ones who can compete with swordsman. As far as I've seen.

4. Do you think someone will join mugiwara in this arc? if so, who ?
'mugiwara'?
Just googled it, got something like 'crew'. And no, nobody has a personality that suits their crew and could stay for the long run.

5. Do you have any attachments to non-living things? (this is a general question not really related to OP )
My dad gave me a watch some years ago, its not really expensive or classy but its a treasure for me and i wear it every time when i have my exam.
That's awesome dude, things that have significance to them are always awesome. They give people inspiration and fire to do their best.
And yes, I do. It's a zipper necklace I made. My friend first made me the original copy of this when I was in 5th grade (I'm in the 11th now), but that just got stolen over the summer. So I remade one on my own and gave it a name; I call it 'value'. Corny I know, but that's something I keep to myself. I'll try and see if I can upload a picture of it soon.

And my Nike book bag. It's valuable to me because my mentor's (who I've gotten very close to, I call her my auntie) mom who really likes me heard that my book bag broke and I was carrying around all my stuff, and gave me one of her sons book bags. It's really nice, the most comfortable book bag I've ever had, and got it from somebody who really, really cares about me. It's extremely important to me.

6. Do you think there is any similarity between naruto and luffy? who do you like more?
Yes. But very few, there are more differences than similarities.
They are both very determined, but driven by different things (Naruto to protect his friends and to stay alive, Luffy to help out others in need and pursue his dream)
Are both very ambitious (Naruto becoming Hokage, Luffy becoming pirate king)
Are both ascending to god statuses (I know Naruto is, and I'm sure Luffy is on his way)
Both have faced opponents with 'God' complexes (Naruto, Pain, and Luffy soon to face Enel)
Have gimmicky powers (Naruto, Shadow Clones, Luffy stretching)
And lastly, both are generally clumsy characters who have their sparks of brainpower when in a situation.
And even though I like Luffy much more, I aspire to become more like Naruto. He believes in the power of words and is always about his peace until he gets pushed to the edge. [/B]

7. Describe each member of mugiwara crew in one word.
Sanji- Gellin
Chopper- Sparky
Zoro- Dangerous
Luffy- Outrageous
Usopp- eh...
Nami- youdontwanttoknow
Robin- Stoic

8. Your favorite devil fruit user? The strongest devil fruit you have seen ?
My favorite? EASILY Captain Smoker. Most ba character I've ever seen in anime/manga. He's marine who cares and loves his citizens (even gave ice cream money back to a little girl who he bumped into), is jacked, has awesome smoke powers, extremely amazing design and even more amazing personality, without being too cliche. What's even more interesting to me is powerful characters who have patience. And Smoker from what I've seen is a patient character who doesn't abuse his power. His sense of justice and the way he rejected a promotion and award from 'beating' Crocodile makes him even more appealing. Love him.
But the strongest? Whitebeard. They haven't shown it but I'm sure he has a DF power.
Then Luffy. But once again that's expected.

So I'm going to say, out of all those I've seen in action, Captain Smoker once again... and for good reason. Luffy is the strongest disregarding WB, and I read on his bio he pinned down Luffy 3 times in the series (2 of which I have seen so far). Now THAT'S an accomplishment. Not only that, but I quote from the Alabarna arc Usopp telling Zoro he can NOT beat him, and Zoro's pretty freaking strong. That quote alone places him leagues above a plethora of other characters.

I'm also tempted to say Enel. He seems to be a completely omniscient psychic who can travel at the speed of thunder and I'm sure he can physically manipulate the element as well. Not to mention the way he summoned fire upon characters on the edge of the island being extremely far away from them.
In any case, one touch of the fingertip and you're french fries.

9. What devil fruit you would like to see in manga?
Tough question.
a) Character with actual super speed (not like the cat guy from the Usopp entrance arc)
b) Character with wind manipulation
c) Character with Teleportation powers (REALLY THIS)
d) Character with gravity powers
e) Character with psychokinesis power (REALLY THIS)
And yeah.

10. Which 2 people do you want to fight each other the most?
Luffy and Captain Smoker.
Enel and Zoro.
Usopp and Whitebeard.

Well why is it that you agree with Love Cook? Since the spoiler is non-specific and doesn't hint towards anything ground breaking there is no reason to fuss over something like that. It's just Love Cook on one of his very frequent man-periods. This guy has found out 99% of it for himself, so again I don't see the issue.

Wow. Really wish I hadn't read that. Are you referring to his strength as of now, where I'm at in the manga, or even in the current chapters? I thought he was ascending to god status like Roger. On a scale of 1 to 10, how big is the power gap between them?

This makes me think that the series still has a long way to go.

And okay, I'll continue. Feels like I'm posting in a graveyard though.

This should come in handy sometime soon.

5: This snake thing is lasting a LOT longer than I thought it would. I thought this would be the type of thing where it shows up just to look intimidating and Zoro/Sanji kick its ass. I guess it really is a huge threat.

10: Pisses me off because that could've worked had he not made a big ass ****ing announcement about his sneak attack.

12: This guy is way too dependent on all his weapons.

15: Looks like Zoro is getting serious.

19: About time he gets killed.

272
6: IT'S HAPPENING

7: A few things about Enel-
His eating of the apple alludes to the bible story of the Garden of Eden, God being the only one to eat the forbidden fruit. Very clever.
And fat chance, but I wouldn't be surprised if those apples had something to do with his fueling of power.

I like that he's not just a moron looking for treasure. He at least has the desire to learn and seek knowledge.

And his thunder power really relates to Zeus the thunder god.

I can see lots of effort went into this character.

9: He must have a light electric current surfing throughout the entire island, and can sense when even 1 voice leaves or enters it.

12: But... wouldn't that be a good thing for the Shandians? Since they want their land back?

and now he has an ark. wow.

15: And I quote, 'stupid dog!'

16: Guys.
It's happening.

18: And he's going to kill Waipa and KO Zoro. Then when everybody get's out of the snake, he'll ko Gan-Fall and force Luffy to step up and kick his ass. Then after it's all done, Gan will wake up and become the old god again.

6: Meant to say this earlier but I forgot. I really don't think Zoro and Sanji are human. They must be the descendants of DF users or something, back in their ancestry. All the 'how can you be human', and, 'no human could do that' quotes lead me to believe there's some foreshadowing going on.

10: Is she looking for her eggs?

14: Hopefully they were in the half of the body that wasn't hit.

19: Well... they had a choice...

Feels like I'm posting in a graveyard sometimes though.

I was refering to skypea Luffy

If roger was a 10 than your Luffy would probably be a 0.1 :) could be a bit more a or a bit less but this gives you the general idea

Well why is it that you agree with Love Cook?

This is why:

Wow. Really wish I hadn't read that.

Just drop the hints, the let me tell you this, i'll just reveal a bit.., or this character will be so much stronger in the future.

It's f'ing annoying when you're trying to read or watch something and you're constantly bothered with this. This guy does his best to name every chapter and page he is on yet you find it necessary to talk about future stuff. Why would you do that ?

Now drop the victim act and stop pointing at me, because you're the dickhead here.

So, TheCCV, let me share with you my opinion on this particular arc.

I hated it. It was really boring, dragged on too long. I felt this as I was reading it. The key here is that, "as I was reading". Because, looking back at it, after everything was finished, the story of the arc and the consequences it had going forward, it is one of the best arcs in One Piece. It embodies exactly what I like about One Piece, which is, above everything else, the adventure into the unknown, and overcoming all the nay-sayers and disbelievers, fighting for your dreams. Power through the arc, and then take a moment to think about what happened. I'll be here to go through it with you, maybe point out stuff you missed.

Thanks for the support man, and interesting insight. I can definitely understand what you're saying, too.

Often times when somebody is engaged in a manga and they're eagerly waiting for the next chapter, they're not as pleased as they would have hoped to be when it gets released. And they feel like 'it was good... but I wanted more for my 7 days worth of waiting', compared to the one who's reading from the very start and has everything already released, with no need to wait in suspense. They can read it as freely as they want to, at their own pace. I'm kind of going through that same 'this is getting really boring and annoying' phase with the war arc of Naruto. Even though it factually IS really long, and imo getting a little stale.

But does that seem about right?

And thanks for the support everybody! But drop the argument about the names, it's completely fine. The spoiler could have been much, much worse, so like 3 names weren't that bad. Thank you for the concern though, means a lot :ilu:

And I have to go do these dishes and get ready for my day. If I don't come back soon, I'll be back later when I'm more relaxed and free.
