This is the first time I am writing a fan fiction. I once came up with the plot at a random thread and a bunch of members at NB encouraged me to write a fanfic about it. So here I am trying to come up with something that wouldn’t suck too bad hopefully. The story is about Minato and Itachi taking on an alternate path and their encounter with Naruto/ Sasuke.

Prologue Yin
My name is Minato Namikaze. Some may know me as the konoha’s yellow flash. I was once the hokage of the hidden leaf village. I once carried the will of fire within me and also passed it on to the next generation. All I ever wanted was to see the people of my village happy. That was until that fateful night when the love of my life was taken away from me. My wife, kushina was the jinchuricki of the nine tailed fox and she got betrayed by her best friend, a woman who I thought was an ally to the leaf, Mikoto Uchiha. She along with the rest of the Uchiha clan decided to betray the leaf and work with a powerful man behind the mask. Together they were planning to start a coup de tat. But kushina, with the last bit of her strength, took half of the fox’s chakra within herself and died in front of my eyes. I had to seal the other half of the chakra within a new jinchiricki who also happens to be my own son. As the hokage I was forced to agree to let my wife become the jinchiricki, had I known how that would make her a target for everyone, I would have never agreed to such a thing. I loved her with all my heart, living together with kushina and our son Naruto just the three of us- I don’t think I could have ever asked for anything else. The moment kushina’s lifeless body fell to the ground, I gave up on my fatherly emotions and sworn on one thing only-
I will EXTERMINATE the uchiha clan and DESTROY THE MASKED MAN and all his plans. I am not doing this for the sake of konoha, I am not doing this for the sake of the ninja world. I am doing this to avenge my wife’s death. Today is October 10th, our sons birthday, I swear by my wife’s blood-I shall destroy everyone who was involved with the kyuubi attack.

My name is Itachi Uchiha. From today on, the hidden leaf, the rest of the ninja world and my little brother Sasuke Uchiha, will know me as a criminal. They will know me as the cold-hearted ruffian who killed his own family and the members of his clan. I knew it was a bad amen ever since father started making some sort of deal with the Masked man who claims to be our ancestor, Madara Uchiha himself. Father does not believe what he claims to be but he knows the uchiha’s have no choice. We have to collaborate with the enemy in order to take out an enemy we both have in common. And that enemy happens to be Konoha. My will of fire would never allow me to let anyone touch the leaf village. I told the hokage and his men of the diabolical plan of the uchiha clan. The Sandaime seemed awfully terrified about the Masked man. He said it’s as if he felt the presence of this masked man during the kyuubi attack 5 years ago, when Lady kushina was murdered by an unknown force and the yondaime Hokage disappeared out of nowhere. The anbus are still investigating about the death of Lady kushina. Truth be told, I got some serious reason to believe my father was actually planning to start a coup de tat with the masked man and the nine tails sudden appearance was no coincidence. I wanted to ask my father face to face about that night but alas that would never happen. Another mystery took place tonight. The sandaime and the village have decided to turn me into a criminal and let me join the masked man and his organisation. In exchange lord Danzo would use the kotatsukiyomi on my father, the leader- to make the uchiha clan reach a truce with the leaf village and break all of its affiliation with the masked enemy. It was all perfectly planned. Yet when I came back to my home, to watch my brother Sasuke go back home from the academy for one last time, I saw my entire family was killed, my mother, my father all my clansmen were lying dead. I don’t know who was behind this onslaught. I don’t know who didn’t keep the end of his bargain, was it lord Sandaime? Lord Danzo? The masked man who perhaps found out about my true intentions? I do not know. Before leaving, I had no choice but to make sasuke believe I was the murderer of the clan. That way he would grow up to be strong out of his desire for revenge. Lord Sandaime promised to look after Sasuke and in exchange will I have to carry out my mission and join forces with the masked man to keep and eye out on him from inside. But I swear I will find out who was behind the slaughter of the uchiha clan and I shall eliminate him at all cost.
