I don't think your mom should have slapped you. If it was a normal pop in the mouth like any of parents does then understandable. Also kids are just kids, they will do things that they don't know yet. I mean who wasn't a kid who turned around and kissed someone else. To me, if it was my kid I rather have a talk to my child.

Youre 13. Congrats on your Bday and 1st 1st base. However, age does not really correlate to your maturity.

A 30+ yr old man/woman can also act like a child and a 12/13 can also act like grown ups. You first need to understand what that truly means. Some kids often relate college activities to be mature so they copy it and try to be like them. They drink, smoke, have ***, and cause mayhem. That isnt mature. That is merely adults acting immature since their life is ahead of them and that they would, sooner or later, have to grow up.

When I was 13, I was concerned on maling my kite fly higher that a 3 story building and finding a holographic pokemon card.

Dont just buy into what media is trying to sell to you. Also, dont fall into peer pressure. Know what you are getting into first and react accordingly. Each action has consequences, so beware. This would be your lesson that will guide you into maturity. Take that slap into your core and remember as to what reason you were slapped for. Go kiss your neighbor once more, if you choose to, just make sure you know the reason why you are kissing her and whether it wouls be worth it.
