My mom keeps stopping me from getting my license.

I'm 19 and I took my drivers ed test when I was 18 because she didn't want me to take my test when I was 16 or 17 because she didn't believe me when I told her that I had to take drivers ed. I passed my drivers ed test with an A on the written and driving part. She never bought me to the DMV after I passed the test and now I'm 19 and when I ask her to bring me she said no. None of my family members live around me so I can't really call them to bring me to the DMV. My mom told me that she wasn't bringing me to the DMV because she said I'm not going to go anywhere in my car than she told my aunt that she wasn't bringing me to the DMV because she thinks I'm going to drive my car too much and not study. So my aunt texted me what my mom told her and told me that she didn't believe my mom because I'm a quite person.Also my gpa is a 3.5 and I'm in college for nursing.I don't even go to parties so why would I just be driving my car around? It's annoying not having a license because when I'm at college I have to bother my friends to bring me to the store to get food and personal female items and it makes me feel like a bad person. My mom said that it wasn't bad and if she was in college she would have a ride to the store all the time. I told her that a lot of people are really busy studying and they probably would feel that she is bothering them but she didn't listen to me. My boyfriend mom asked me why I didn't have a license and I told her why and she though it was stupid what my mom was doing and she told me she would bring me to the DMV when she has the time. Should I let my boyfriend mom bring me to the DMV to get my license?

Don't really want to be disrespectful towards her but I did tell her she is making it a little hard. She said I'm doing it to myself. I'm moving out over the summer with my boyfriend.

Ouch, that's a tough situation. The best solution would be to somehow convince your Mum to agree with your point of view, but that probably won't be easy.

They might have legitimate reasons such as financial. Their insurance may require that all licensed individuals who live in the same household be disclosed to them. If they had to add you their insurance might become more expensive. And it doesn't matter whether they plan to allow you to drive their car or not.

By the way I took the bus to get groceries when I was in college. Sometimes I took a taxi.
