choku sharingan = straight comma or straight tomoe
i believe its the title given to a m.s sharingan thats have spacific traits
i think the design is not just for show i think that the symbolism is very
important.
for uchiha that have to battle mainly against eachother growing up like madara and inzuna
they had to be able to know how to look at the m.s sharingan itself to understand
how the opponant would move in battle or what techniques they were likley to use.
(my theory)
if that is the case then let just say for fun, that ina itachi vs kakashi
that itachi would look at kakashi's m.s and work out that because
the 3 points to the m.s (design) the turn into eachother that
his technique would move in the way the symbol flows
the dark represent yin realese in the eye and how its directed
hence why kakashi cant use ameratsu,tsukuyomi and susanoo
but can use to send things to other dimesion.
itachis on the other hand (design) moves as a STRAIGHT curve hence choku (design) sharingan.
thats why its has the best techniques cus it has straight release not like obito/kakashi's
that have a bent narrow realse (clearly see kakashi m.s pic)

the third raikage could use raton to use his hand as a lightning blade
the reason it increase in power when he changes it from 3 finger to 2 and then eventually1 finger
is because he was putting all that power into a single point
i think m.s techs work in the same way the better the flow into a point in the eyes the better
the techniqes. (personally id much rather have susanoo, ameratsu and tsukuyomi
then kumai).
conclusion: sasukes eyes are more powerful then madaras at every stage ACCEPT THE RENNINGAN
