My gripe about the rest of the Konoha 11 not getting any love.

Note no spoilers please I'm only up to episode to 140 in shippuden.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but it bugged me so much I had to make an account and post it. So we all know that the Naruto is the main character, but I don't know to me what makes an anime are it's supporting characters, I mean if you're watching this anime then you must to some degree like Naruto, but what often happens is that other main characters(besides the main protagonist) villains, supporting characters, etc. For me it is quite obvious in Rock Lee so I guess I'll start with him, [I'll be focusing on the Konoha 11 mainly]

Rock Lee: A lot of people think Lee is a bad character and a main reason people say the reason for Kishi not writing for him is because of Lee's lack of Genjutsu and Ninjutsu, and that it is much easier for Naruto and Sasuke to learn new jutsus than for Lee who is only a taijutsu type, however I disagree. One Lee was one of the strongest Ninja during the Chunin exam Arc. My reasoning: Challenged Sasuke and kicked his ass who was the Number 1 ranked ninja?(Sasuke,Gaara,Neji) not entirely sure.

His fight with Gaara was one of the best fights I have ever seen in Naruto. Top 3 at least so intense <3

Lee was the hardest working shinobi in the Leaf, and was the prodigy of Might Guy who Itachi said numerous times not to underestimate.

Back on topic, a big reason people say is that Lee is too one dimensional. Well Lee could have learned a plethora of new taijutsu moves.

IDEAS: Grappling techniques,Master DrunkenStyle,No more weights(he's lightning fast without them, this i getting me mad typing this Lee is a powerhouse!)

Might Guy could've taught him Sage Mode,(natural energy, doesn't require Chakra)

The Morning Peacock is a certain-kill taijutsu born from the philosophy of Might Guy.

Maybe some more Lotus' or other Taijutsu, definitely there is no cap especially if he was taught to open more gates maybe all 8 without dying, but be in super critical condition for like a week or 2(even though Nauruto, Sasuke and, Itachi have ridiculous jutsu etc.) A lot of things that could have been expanded on.

Neji Hyuga: Totally under developed, Kishi Trolled team guy big time with the stupid clone fight, as of now even though they have advanced in rank team guy shows 0 improvement, or new techniques sad Neji should be a power house, the 64 palm technique shuts out chakra points, if the anime didn't focus on Naruto you could argue that shutting down someones chakra points all @ once fight over.


TenTen: she really wasn't developed at all I don't think her mastery of weapons is favorable among Naruto fans, but her interaction with Lee were always comical, not too big of a deal if she wasn't developed.

Shikamaru: he got the desired time that I wish the others got, so not too much of him, looking forward to seeing what he does as a leader in the upcoming war.

Kiba: He's another one that could be way better than what we see in the anime/manga, I imagine after the timeskip he would get some new morphing jutsu with Akamaru or something, I wish you guys would have seen my face when I saw him spamming Fang over Fang against Tobi.

Ino,Choji,Hinata all fall under the same category as above and I'm sure the Sand Ninja will get some time again.

I just feel in shippuden these characters who had great development and teamwork are just going to be tossed aside for new akutsuki members and antagonists. From the looks of things I'm not going to see anyone who was not in team Kakashi do anything meaningful, while Naruto and Sasuke get ridiculously strong jutsu. And finally, Rock muthaphukken Lee. I swear I'm gonna go on Fanfiction, and write a story on Sage Mode Lee . I know this is long, and I know these characters probably weren't meant to be anything special, but I just loved Part 1 a whole lot more than part 2 right now, and hopefully I don't keep coming back to the internet spoiling myself of the inevitable, but hey I can dream right?

Like most of these big, popular mangas, there are just too many characters. Even the cool minor ones are unfortunately still minor, and will get shoved off the stage for all Magnekyo Jinchurriki Rinnegan HORAIKAZEMISUKAGE ridiculousness. (And by the way, totally agree with Rock Lee. One of the most bad ass characters that had to settle for a spin off series to get his well deserved attention time.)

False about sage mode part.

1. Might Guy doesn't know two shits about sage mode in the first place
2. You need a large source of internal chakra to balance it out, otherwise you turn into a toad yourself.

sasuke leaves the village and joins the dark side then naruto leaves and trains with Jirayia and later comes back in the next arc sakura becomes really strong and a really good medic ninja then garra gets captured by akatsuki a band of S class ninja that are collecting the tailed beasts to create an infinite genjutsu on the world they capture garra extract the 1 tails but bring him back and did i mention gara becomes kazekage naruto then grows stonger with each and every fight with the akatsuki while sasuke becomes more and more evil and then sasuke kills oro and sets out to kill his brother than Jirayia sets out to defeat one of the akatsuki members known as pain the co leader he ends up dying and failing and sasuke finds his bro and kills him and tobi also known as obito an old childhood friend of kakashi takes sasuke and tells him the real truth about his bro and ends up discovering that his bro really loved him sasuke then joins the akatsuki then pain invades the village llooking for naruto but he doesnt find him becasue he his mastering sage mode somwhere els naruto ends up mastering it half way and comes back and defeates pain and becomes a hero to the village but pain in the process of looking for naruto destroyed the leaf village and now they half to rebuild it then they host a kage summit meeting and sasuke shows up to kill danzo and succeeds naruto and sasuke meet up again and talk about one day fighting 1 on 1 again oh and tobi declares war against the all the shinobis a war to capture the last 2 bijus 8 tails and the 9 tails so naruto once again goes and trains while the allied shinobi forces prepare for battle naruto masters his biju and is able to finally controll it and is stronger than ever but 9 tails still doent get along with naruto the allied shinobi head out to battle lots of people are brought back with a justsu called edo tensie and the person doing this is kabuto who has surpassed oro now and is working with tobi/obito now lots of battles are fought with lots of undead ninjas such as haku and zabuza then madara is even brought back and is kicking the kages ass and naruto is also on the battle filed too fighting tobi/obito he and 9 tails get along now and are more pwoerful than ever and naruto is now faster than even his father madara rapes the kages than joins obito and they are currently shwoing flashbacks on how obito became evil lol trololololo

I feel you opening. Some of the rookies were my favorite characters in Part II, yet we don't see any of them do anything bar Team Shikkamaru.

I think your missing the OP'ers point. They could all be useful if Kishi actually gave them plot progression. Also Shino hasn't done sh!t since he tied with Kankuro in part 1.

To OP- I'm sorry to say but it won't get any better as the series progresses. Seems Kishi forgot about them, which sucks IMO.

I won't ruin anything but the the war mainly focus's on the supporting characters for a long time, although the ones you actually listed in bold not so much unfortunately with the exception of Shikamaru, Shikamaru is Kishi's favorite apparently.

Yep after looking at your sig it reminded me of the stupid clone fight, the only new technique IIRC was air palm(or was it the water fight against [kisame??] when guy uses morning peacock.
