Hello GFX geniuses :)

So, I went through the tutorials on Layers that Transparent gave me the first time I was here and thought of making something I can use to replace the signature that I lost. :(
Is this progress? :) Please put in your honest comments. I won't bite if you site the negative ones. xd:D It will be my pleasure to hear how I should correct that. And if you see a tiny bitty good thing then, I would certainly love to hear how to improve it. :)

Yay! I never noticed that. I guess I haven't seen any yet. I was only thinking of the colors that might compliment the character's picture. ehehehe...thanks.

I like the border and the background with the quote. nice render. Very neat :)

Tip for next time:
- don't use bevell and emboss (layer option) on ur renders (the girl), It separates the render from the sig. You'd want the render to fit with the background etc.
- But! since u used bevell and emboss on the border, it's fine. In my experience most ppl don't use bevell and emboss on many sigs, at least not with black/white. :p
- I think it would look better if the bottom of the render was behind the border, while the upper part was on top of the border like it is;) That way you don't see the cut-off edge on the bottom.

Anyways, improvement.

I wanted to like separate the character from the background so I used bevell and emboss ..hehehehe..is there a better move to do that please? Or is that just a really bad idea?

I'll see what I can do to hide the bottom cut into the border, I kinda have a hard time doing the borders.:)

Oh, would using just drop shadows been better than the bevell and emboss to create a somewhat separate effect?

Thank you. I'm just a little concerned about the size though. I don't really want big ones.

Can anyone tell me what is the ideal size for sigs, please? This one's like 380 x 180 pxs.
It is 567px × 256px xP Try smaller sizes ( but depends what type of signature you are making) . I usually make 400px × 150px and lower. Good Luck.
