Use a sharper pencil, it's bluntness is apparent. Having tools in good condition will improve the final result greatly. Now, the drawing itself.
It's alright for a first attempt. The proportions seem satisfactory, more detail would be nice, but no need for learning to colour yet. It looks like you've got the basics of drawing the outline of the character down. A tip for making it cleaner; draw lightly first. That way, when you make a mistake, it's easily erased and cannot be seen. Rinse and repeat until you're satisfied, and press the pencil harder to give it more opacity.
Try not to lift the pencil so much either. It makes the final shape look blocky in the case of the drawing. Try and keep a consistent hand posture and position so that if you do need to lift the pencil, you can still maintain the same shape in the contour. The loose hair on the far left is an example of lifting the tool too much. As a quick summary:
- Taking care of your tools goes a long way
- Don't lift the pencil too often; only when you're uncomfortable or not getting the correct angle should you adjust hand posture/position
- Draw lightly first, and keep refining until the specified area is as desired
Little things, but they can have quite drastic effects on the final result. Focus on improving these for the time being, then you can try and move onto details and maybe colour.
