Last chapter Obito was saying how fake everyone and everything was... yet he is going to create something that is fake. I know some will argue otherwise, but realistically it's still a "false" reality since it's not the original and it's based off of genjutsu.. which is illusions made from reality.
My questions for you guys:
1) Is what he doing actually going to make sense with what he's been saying thus far in the recent chapter?
2) If it was someone other than Obito saying these things, what kind of impact would it give? (If it was a good guy)
3) What do you guys think will be Obito's final resolve?
My answers to the questions:
1) I personally don't think it makes any sense with what he's been saying and what he just said. I don't know if that was a setup for a character change, or if it was a writing/translation error.
2) If it was someone like Naruto(example) finally coming to the conclusion that the shinobi world has no hope for peace and the only way to do that would be to follow the Moons Eye Plan.. to me it would hold a bittersweet impact. Because of how pure and idealistic Naruto has been for the years we followed the manga, it'd be odd seeing him side with something so radical, but in the name of peace. It'd definitely give me mixed feelings.
3) Personally, he seems to be contradicting himself as of late and even appearing to be questioning himself with last two chapters we've seen. Previous chapter we saw him ask Naruto yet again the same questions, to which Naruto responded rather harshly.. and Obito didn't even show any anger to that. Instead he was thinking, or appeared to be. Obito is doing this all for peace, so can someone really be that bad when all they want is that? At the same time he seems far too gone. In Sasukes case it's only been a few years of following hatred, Obito has been following it before Sasuke was even born. The damage of him mostly being alone with this hatred of the world is just too much to undo.
