Most of you might be ranging anywhere from 10 to 20 years old, but I may be one of, if not the oldest followers of both the manga and anime Naruto. I'm 34 years old and a graduate of Fine Arts, and I'm a professional DJ (20 years and counting). I am currently living and working in China (I'm not Chinese).
In February of 2011 I met this 19 year-old kid at the club named Tylar and he became my best friend, like a brother to me. He's from Florida and he came to China to work as an English teacher for little Chinese kids. He was a huge fan of Naruto. He's always raving about it and one day I decided to download all the episodes, and after watching the first one, I was instantly hooked. He brought out the kid in me.
In August of 2011, he died of meningococcal meningitis and the shipping company asked for $20,000 to ship his body back to Florida, which was insane and we had to hold a couple of fundraisers, and in mid September, we had raised enough money.
Tylar is the reason why I became a fan of this series and up to this day, in my prayers, I talk to him and keep him updated of what's happening in the story. It's something I do because I cherish our friendship, and I love the story too. So I hope you guys don't mind someone as old as your dad in the forums.
