I like the last one, but that light on the eye ruins it completely... you should try to make a new layer brush it with color you want, duplicate it set it to linear dodge (add) and lower the opacity, keep duplicating till you find the perfect glow.

There will always be a background if you use them as Avatars, even on NB.
Transparent background automatically turns white on the Avatar Surface.
For example: My Avatar is actually transparent but NB gave it a white BG (If you take a close look you will notice it.)
