Defeated 3rd Raikage, I doubt the 4rth Raikage could have defeated him.
Had his chakra sensed by the Hokages and Orochimaru so they knew where to go.
His compassion towards Sasuke was the reason Itachi trusted him enough to put the crow inside Naruto which lead to Sasuke becoming good, orochimaru's revival and the edo tensei of the Hokage's. Without this, Nagato and Itachi could have soloed alliance.

There's no MVP, everyone is a part of the same team, and I'm sure even the most obscure Tertiary Characters will have an occasion to shine. The battle will most likely end with a huge coordinated effort.

Though I think the one who's done the most for the Alliance is Itachi. (Helped defeat Nagato, Cancelled Edo Tensei)

MVP Goes to ZETSU. He was sacrificed to bring back the Hokages. His Cells kept obito alive long enough to become the Juubi host. His cells may even be how Obito was able to heal so quickly although that may be the extra chakra he contains. He also gave all the Fodder Ninja someone to fight and keep the story moving.

Besides Obito, Madara of course. Yes, I understand how good guys are, but think for a second about the numbers of the evil alliance. Having 100 000 Zetsus isn´t much of an upper hand, plus Kabuto´s edos are easily stoppable under the circumstances.

Madara soloed the remaining allied forces, fights all living kages, rises, handles former hokages.. I mean. That´s like Jordan playing on both sides of the court at his prime. While Minato gets the benefit of arriving at the perfect time.

On the evil side Madara gets the trophy, while the shinobi alliance MVP should be granted to Naruto.

I would say Orochimaru. He brought back Hashirama, Tobirama, Hiruzen and Minato. Hashirama is posing as a great threat to one of the three antagonist of the war. Hiruzen helped the Allied Forces successfully understand Obito's techniques as a a jinchūriki. Minato saved the alliance from bijūdama twice. You could also argue Kakashi or Naruto for ASF. Other potential characters include Shikamaru, Shikaku, Killer B or Gai.

I would say, for the Akatsuki, Kabuto. He easily landed more kills on the ASF via his Edo Ninja, than what the Zetsu did. Madara wiped out a whole division as did he put the Five Kage in a critical condition. Madara is fighting Hashirama - Hashirama could be very powerful in a fight against Obito due to him having Sennin Mode. Kabuto also allowed Obito to summon the Jūbi as his Edo contained Kyūbi Chakra. He also gave Obito the Six Edo Jinchūriki which obviously helped Obito quite a bit.
