it is only one amaterasu. itachi momentarily loses focus of sasuke, he the regains focus and follows sasuke dragging a path of amaterasu. he did two amaterasu against nagato not sasuke

Are you Daft? You clearly see the Amaterasu go off into the forest and we see this even more clearly later when the forest is on fire. Itachi had to use a second one, that's not debatable.

no he just keeps using the technique. as he is trying to track sasuke everywhere his eye is crossing amaterasu is spawning. its pretty simple.

this is displayed in the sasuke vs raikage fight where the amaterasu hits the samurai instead of the raikage. did sasuke use two amaterasu? no amaterasu just formed where his eye was looking
