I think madara does use izanagi with the eye covered by his hair.
He gets hashis dna as planned and the rest is history up until he gets the rinnegan...
when he unlocks the rinnegan the eye that originally closed opens up and he later gives these eyes to nagato.

You would know that the manga has stated over and over the EMS is the upgrade of MS... the eyes that do not loose their light.

mmm maybe, it could be like that but I think with EMS you only lose the eyes light/vision for a short time and then it recover up through time... if not it would be beyond OP.

Well Madara could have very well used Izunagi. Obito used it when he fought Konan. He didn't even have the EMS and only one eye, yet he didn't go blind or loose the use of his Sharingan, so it is possible that Madara used it as well....Maybe. I have no facts to back this claim up and plus I figured Madara would've probably stated that he used Izunagi during that fight...May he still will. We haven't hard his side of the story yet.

He gave his eyes to Nagato...Meaning he had both his EMS sharingan when he awakened the rinnegan or nagato would only have one eye..besides he did not have Senju DNA until after the fight..

you can spam Amaterasu, Kamui , etc.


Izanagi still makes you blind!

The manga clearly states izanagi makes you loose one eye per use
The manga also states that EMS protects you from slowly loosing your eyesight through MS-Technique overuse
The manga NEVER! stated that you would not lose your eye to Izanagi if you had EMS that part is wishful thinking ans has not been stated as long as you can't come up with a manga page that plainly states that you are the one fighting a lost battle

Only the rinnegan can sustain izanagi. Ems lose light after izanagi and it need senju dna for izanagi.
