Hello NarutoBase,
It has come to my attention over the time I've been using this website that there are problems that need to be addressed and fixed - this is speaking overall problems, and more specific ones. Please read all of the information stated in this thread before you respond. The Base is the greatest Naruto forum website of all time and together we can make it even better! :)
Thank You, Wood Release

Table of Contents:

Central Problems with the Community
  1. Lack of formality, organization and clarity
  2. Rudeness & Trolling
  3. Lack of positive contribution to threads
More Specific Problems
  1. Fanboy/Fangirl Issues
  2. Character Bashing
  3. Plot Bashing
  4. Theories and Ideas with a lack of sufficient evidence

Central Problems:

Problem #1: Lack of Formality, Organization and Clarity -

This is one of the biggest problems with the Naruto Base. Many users have been posting there thoughts, which is great but with overly large text throughout unnecessarily or using colors that are not decipherable throughout. This is and could be seen as an understandable mistake, but if you make we as a community, advice you fix the problem.

Organization is key to delivering a message - if you do not double space text or write a very long paragraph with not spaces or blanks then it will strain the readers eyes - please keep this in mind and fix your mistakes if you can and when you can.

Clarity in a thread is being slowly lost - we as a community need to use better grammar. I am not nitpicking and giving criticism because you used the wrong 'there' or the wrong 'your' but use proper spelling. Many of you know but some don't how hard and frustrating it is to try and decipher text that appears to be written in a foreign language.

We would all love to hear what you want to say, but use text that we can comprehend! :)

Problem #2: Rudeness and Trolling -

I will try and keep this plain and simple.

If you have something to share, we would all love to hear it. But if you're doing something like giving a very misleading title, or stating something berserk without sufficient backing up, or doing something to annoy the average user - that is unacceptable behavior and you're abusing your right to post of Naruto Base. Please do not do this.

Also, we all agreed to the Terms and Conditions which stated no inappropriate actions - this includes not pornography on this website, or using explicit language but this also includes not being rude. We all know what respect is - we all know what politeness is and I/we understand that this is the internet and you're behind a screen and will not face real consequences for rudeness but please understand the disruption you cause with your rudeness and how you may actually hurt the person on the other screen.

Problem #3: Lack of Positive Contribution to Threads -

If you agree with a thread that is being made then great. Please leave your opinion and feedback if you have any and move on.
If you disagree please leave constructive criticism and your opinion in a polite manner which will not provoke anybody and leave.
If this is a discussion like thread, leave your input or idea and then leave - there is no need to breach the Term & Conditions but including aggression in each and everyone of your replies.

Specific Problems:

Problem #1: Fanboy/Fangirl-ism

Of course you have the right to have a religious like view of some characters and love them a lot and feel a necessitous to defend your character if ever questioned or offended. However please refrain from use of inappropriate language, or individual targeting. Please remember this is a forum about a television series, a manga, and a series of video games. Thank You.
Problem #2 & Problem #3: Character/Plot Bashing -
This is one of our largest problems, even though it has been overseen by the administrators.

You under the Terms & Condition do have the right to voice your opinion but now you can't 'bash' characters. Do not target certain characters to ridicule there plot role and importance or there power level etc. Also if you do not have positive enlightenment to make about the plot of the series please do not bsah it by stating it isn't good and etc.

This is against the rules, and I do not think I need to overview this.

Problem #4:Theories and thoughts with a lack of sufficient proof -

The amount of theories with no evidence is overboard - this needs to be dealt with. If you want to share you theory great. But use pictures, manga scans, episode proof, and explain your idea and not just state it. This could be considered 'rude' and trolling and leave you a not-so-good reputation.

For Example,

Nagato is more powerful than Hashirama Senju.
That is an idea that is great. However you must back up your thought with actual evidence to leave an impression and not be ridiculed.

For Example,

Nagato is more powerful than Hashirama Senju. I think this because in the following pages in the manga...it stated that... Also Nagato has the Rinnegan and .... makes him better.
That is a more powerful peace of text and will make it seem like you're trying to share an idea, not try and troll the forum and its users.

Thank you for reading this thread. The purpose of this thread was to share information that many of the users, whether devoted to the website or not feel.

We as a community want to make the forums the best as we could!

Please learn something from this thread and apply it to your Naruto Base.

Enjoy your Naruto Base Experience and we as a group make it better. Thank You! :)

You forgot to add "Putting things in the wrong section." As you've just done with this thread. Irony at its best. However, I do agree that the community has problems, but I have faith in the administrators and moderators. I advise you to do the same.

I put this thread in this section due to Naruto Discussion having the highest number of viewers, thread production etc.

This is your opinion and it is not solely based on the Global forum rules being that your addressing aspects which have no association with the overall rules themselves.

One of the biggest issues on the base however are people posting threads (regardless of necessity) in the wrong section, as such.

While that is true, most people (myself included), usually find thread through the 'Today's Topics' section. Every recent (100) thread is shown in that section. I advise you to ask a moderator to move it to the proper section.

I disagree with some of your points. People should have the right to say whatever they want to say if it's their opinion, unless it goes against the Global Rules. For example, I can say Minato > Hidan. I don't need to provide a reason because you can't force them to unless, like I said, it goes against the rules. And I wouldn't suggest making that a new rule. :p

Also people can do whatever they want with how they wanna type. I can type "liky thiss" if I want to only if it's comprehendable. If you post something like "hhfhshhaua" and it's not able to read by other members or the staff, then that would count as spam. :)

Oh, I know. I have a new rule: Posting "Must Read" threads in the right section. :|

I like most of your points. Spammers and trolls should be getting in trouble. The only thing I do not like about this site is posting 1 bio every 30 days. I failed once (pretty bad) and now I must wait. But solid points broski.
