Let me know an artist or group you knew about but for whatever reason never bothered listening to when they first came around but then you did and realized you liked their stuff.
Recently I started listening to Flatbush Zombies. I had heard the name brought up a few times but for whatever reason my brain just registered them as a typical recent rap group and I skipped them. Cut to now, was heading north going through NY and figured it'd be a fun idea to play an artist from whatever Borough I was in at the time. I stopped off at Coney Island, which is Brooklyn for those who didn't know but were interested and that's where I heard them the first time.
