Multiple New Child's Play Movies?

Chucky could be getting both a spin-off and a remake.

Although the rumors were denied when they surfaced last year, new reports suggest there's still life left in the Child's Play horror franchise.

Alex Vincent, Brad Dourif and Chris Sarandon all recently appeared on a reunion panel for the film at the Mad Monster Party show in North Carolina, during which time talks about Chucky remakes and spin-offs arose.

"There are reportedly two Child's Play projects in the works: a remake and a spin-off of sorts involving Chucky's immediate family, Revenge of Chucky," according to Moviehole. "Dourif confirmed that he's involved in both projects but has not seen a script for the Child's Play remake yet."

Franchise vets Don Mancini and David Kirschner have long been trying to get a new Chucky movie off the ground, with Mancini writing and directing. The remake will reportedly be darker and scarier than the original 1988 movie.​

I doubt the remake will be any better then the original movie we all know scary movies this days are not scary at all the only movie that actually scared me was paranormal activity part one but thats it other movies that supposedly scary are not scary but still good with story lines and bloody stuff ​

And yeah, the Alfred Hitchcock days of "scary movies" is over. He crafted both suspense and surprise into his films and ended up with masterpieces. (that is - not all this zombie and paranormal sh*t - humans are scary enough as it is!)
