Kishi disagree because if its not canon, he wouldn't go through the trouble of illustrating in the novel. On top of that he already gives the approval and was involves with the new Era project which not only include The Last but also hiden/shinden novels.

Not really, Kishi is really putting his heart and soul into Boruto movie and he claim he want to make boruto better than Naruto. Kishi even go far to say that he doesn't want boruto to be restrained by naruto storyline because by that defination that would be recycle and milking. He said he wanted to express with his own creative freedom.
Kishi continue to say that he really wanted fans to get into boruto even if it means killing off older cast (because in his mind, he thinks it's s good story)
Kishi is now the editor for boruto which he hold more authority.

This doesn't sound like kishi attempt to make some cash cow that you speak of. More like kishi has high entusuem and passion for the series.

Recently he was involved with the idea of ep 8 and 9 to be double because he thought it would be good.

It should be paid attention to that the author of this novel had Itachi and Shisui fight this guy in taijutsu, he literally made two very competent shinobi fight a Hyuga in taijutsu for the purpose of exonerating a particular character's skills, when we are well aware of the fact that Shisui and Itachi probably knew better than to fight a Hyuga in taijutsu.

I'm pretty sure he would struggle against the Sharingan in a ranged fight.

These feats in the novel was already demonstrated throughout p1 so really it's nothing new. We know the hyuga clan are the strongest taijutsu in hidden leaf. The novels just there to solidify the fact that even the uchiha prodigy despite having good Skills in combat, they were already outclassed by Hyuga taijutsu.

That doesn't mean he'd win a ranged fight. Being on the defensive at all times and you're only means of offense is close-combat is a bad situation to be in for anyone.

I still can't believe the author had Itachi and Shisui fight the guy in close combat. That is the dumbest thing I've ever read. Facing two Sharingan users of that caliber would be a disaster for anyone by themselves.

a) THEY DID long range attacks like the Fireball jutsu but he split it apart
b) As discussed in the Anime and via multiple threads the Byakugan has some form of precog or ability to react to moves before they happen therefore his byakugan outclassed their 3Tomoe
c)in the Manga up to 700 we did not get a Uchiha vs a Hyuga showdown, let alone a ton of Hyuga screen time
d)Kishi approved of the work
