"Peace is not gained through love or power, its gained through understanding."
Chapter 677 confirmed one thing, that the Mugen Tsukuyomi has now been cast upon the world and Madara is almost finished with his master plan. However, the bad guy cannot win so we need to find a way for Madara to lose his new found powers and control over the world. We know that Sasuke and Naruto aren't immune to the Tsukuyomi from what Sasuke stated. We also don't know if killing/sealing Madara will end the Genjutsu or if something else has to be done in order to deactivate it. There is still a possibility that Kaguya (if she still has some power) may be able to keep the Genjutsu up even after Madara's defeat. Now, its my belief that this Genjutsu will not fall victim to any love or power. Throughout the story so far, our two main stars has used their own means to win their battles. Naruto has used his "love" to defeat his foes through the means of determination and the infamous "Talk-No-Jutsu". While Sasuke has used his "power" and hatred to crush anyone who stood in his way. These two powers has the same origin however, both our main stars wishes to understand the world, and everything in it to make the correct choices. Their powers have always been fueled by the want for understanding, so let's get to the main point of this thread.
A Genjutsu, an illusion, a false reality. This is what the Mugen Tsukuyomi is, and nothing more and as any illusion it can been seen through. The world and its people exists today because of the mistakes and successes we've done in the past, the Narutoverse is no different. Both the good and the bad in their world exists because of the other, that was Madara's ideal and inspiration for his plan. He wishes to create a world without losers, sorrow and hatred. But in doing so he will also create a world without winners, happiness and love. He will create a world without understanding, a world that will never know true peace. That is why the Alliance fought, that is why they sacrificed themselves in the hopes that true peace could be obtained one day. Everyone wants peace, however everyone has a different way to go about it. Because of that, different ideals are doomed to collide and hatred is born to protect their own ideals. That is why the true way to peace is neither power or love, its understanding for one an another. To understand each others pain, hatred, sorrow, happiness, goals, dreams and to acknowledge them. A world build on understanding will not hold a fighting scale of hatred and love, it will hold a equal amount of the two.
This is the ideal Madara wishes to throw away, he doesn't believe that understanding can exist. However, what he hasn't noticed is that it has and it still exists right before him. The alliance has felt the dreams, sadness, hopes and happiness of Naruto and Obito's hearts. They have felt and understand the despair that lead to this war and the feelings that caused so much destruction and pain. They know their comrades, they believe in each other and they will stand together to defeat their enemy no matter what. Its no longer and alliance, they are nothing but friends fighting for the same goal. A true team is only efficient if each member acknowledge the other's strengths and weakness and because of that they are able to work together as one. Something the Alliance has shown many times throughout the war. Take Hagoromo's words, he said that Indra stood alone, fighting against Ashura who had the help of all his friends. Now take a look at the current situation in the war. Its Madara who stands alone against Naruto and Sasuke along with their friends. The circle of hatred, the destined battle still happens even when Naruto Sasuke are working together. However, Madara is outside of the circle because of his plan and his new found power.
However, the Alliance, their friends has as I've said one thing that didn't really exist within the previous circle of hatred; Understanding of one and another. Hashirama failed to understand Madara and killed him off, Indra and Ashura never understand the other's ideal and believed in their own. Naruto and Sasuke doesn't really understand each other, but at the same time they understand each other. Naruto said that as a little boy he was happy for Sasuke's existence, he was happy because there were someone like himself. Someone that could understand his sadness, loneliness and despair. Sasuke most likely feels the same way, and he and Naruto do understand a lot about each other. However, these two cannot bring peace as peace isn't obtained by a single or small group of people working for it. Its obtained when everyone truly wish for peace and work for it, so the Alliance, their friends has to work for it as well. Now, I said that an illusion can be broken out of no matter the scale of it, that is true because Madara's plan has one major weakness. Human emotions, their hearts, their memories and their dreams.
Edo Tensei was shown to have the same weakness, and in some form "Edo Tensei" can be a brainwash jutsu. (As it manipulates the recently reanimated.) So this is how I think the Mugen Tsukuyomi will be broken:
In order for Madara to create an illusion world that everyone wants, he will need to understand the feeling and dreams of everyone in the world. He will need to create a world that seems realistic to them, but he cannot do that if he wishes to take away what makes reality what it is, the darkness of the world is as much part of reality as the light. I believe that the Alliance will notice in their hearts and ideals that the illusion world they are now under is not the reality they know and fought so hard to protect and they are not ready to give up. They will break out of the Genjutsu, not because of their power or love. But for their own ideals and dreams that makes them wanting peace so deeply, their understand of one an another that make peace a real possibility. That will be Madara's downfall, he will fail to the one thing he doesn't understand in the world; Mutual Understanding. Madara knows love, he knows hatred, he knows the dark and the light but he knows nothing of what comes as these two opposite forces becomes one. He was correct, because as he said. When Yin and Yang is combined, true peace can be obtained. Just not in the way he thought of it.
