The universe --- a vast space littered with trillions of stars and planets, spiraling galaxies and
colorful clouds of dust. Within this assortment of matter, millions of alien races call it home,
some more intelligent than others, others boasting extreme physical strength, and a few with the ability to perform spectacular tasks and events. . . . although there is something not even the most highest of beings are aware of;
the Multiverse!
Dragon Ball Z verse --- Sacred World of the Kais
An old, purple figure sits cross-legged in a large green field, his thick blue tunic swaying in the light breeze. The thick, white mustache above his mouth is formed into a half-circle as his thin lips are pressed into a hard line, the wrinkles in his sage face apparent in all their glory.
His eyebrows, also snow white, are furrowed downward, evident of his distasteful mood. He stares empty-minded into the distance at the several moons that sit so close to the planet he calls home. Nearby, a river runs down a hill which drops off into a beautiful valley teeming with marine life. He can hear the wildlife grazing and living out their un-domesticated lives as he ponders absentmindedly about this world's approaching destruction.
"Old Kai...Old Kai...Old Kai!!!" a voice calls out, desperate.
Old Kai's eyes snap open to attention, quickly darting back-and-forth between the mountains to the west and the ice caps to the east.
"What is it, Kibito-kai?" he ask slowly, deliberately. He knows that the other Kai knows he doesn't like to be disturbed when it comes to his meditating. Kibito-Kai swallows hard and clears his throat, the expression on his gallant face turning bright red with embarrassment.
"Umm... I'm sorry! It's just that, you didn't seem to hear me, so I thought I'd speak up!" he stammered, his posture becoming rigid.
Old Kai turns his body and gazes at Kibito-kai, taking in his youthfulness and attractiveness. His long, white hair sways in the wind and his face, untarnished by blemishes that approach with age are non-apparent. Such a shame that the lad will have to die so young.
Kibito-kai clears his throat again. "What should we do?" he ask awkwardly. He can't seem to stand still, his weight shifting between his feet like an Irish clogger.
Old Kai finally turns away, turning his attention back to the moons. He sits there quietly causing Kibito-kai to wonder if he's forgotten his presence but the majestic tune of Old Kai's voice tells him otherwise.
"We've been in life or death situations before with Majin Buu. We know how to handle situations like this." he says normally to which Kibito-kai struggles to understand. The most evil being known to sentient life has been awoken due to the awakening of Beerus. That makes two legitimate threats to the balance of the universe!
How could Old Kai be so complacent at a time like this?!
"I think we should alert the other Kais! They deserve to know this!" Kibito-kai says heatedly. He's hunched over, balling up his hands into little fist to emphasize his anger.
Old Kai flinches.
This is Kibito-kai's major flaw; the inability to keep his emotions under control. Old Kai sighs and stands up slowly, painfully. His bones creak like the old, wooden floorboards of a hundred-year old house.
"They undoubtedly already know... and are probably making contingency plans as we speak." Old Kai says, folding his hands behind his back. Kibito-kai takes a slow step forward.
"Should we be doing the same thing?" he ask, genuinely confused.
Old Kai suddenly laughs, a cruel, mocking bark of a sound.
"Why? We're all going to die anyways..."
