Well, I've looked out for a lot of factors. The basics being:

• Genjutsus are Illusion.
• Some let you imagine seeing things, while others let you experience feeling certain things
• Primarily and only used by injecting your chakra into the opponents chakra network
• Can be done by handseals, Eye contact (Especially for Sharingan Users), or other methods

Next to that, there are 3 ways currently known to get out of a genjutsu (with the exception of Tsukuyomi)

1. A surge of pain going through you
2. Letting someone else inject their chakra in you
3. Exerting an enormous amount of chakra (atleast that's what Jiraiya said against Naruto)

beautiful! I have never seen a better explanation of genjutsu by any of my students!...do you by any chance have a personal sensei?

Okay,this one is simple.Just insert chakra into your opponents mind and target his part of the brain which controls vision.After doing this,you pretty much can make your opponent see whatever you want.This is the basic thing you do for every genjutsu,however some genjutsu's are a little diffrent.

Now for this specific jutsu you have to make the opponent see something that is not there in the sorroundings.Meaning I want you to make me see that that rock *points*, is actually a pumpkin.After you did that,I want you to make a "second" layer of the genjutsu,and make the grass around it into orange "corn" candy....and yes,this is in the Halloween spirit. :3

As I do this, I manipulate your brain in such a fashion that I try to make it look as if the rock that is located nearby seems to be a rock. Next technique is Servant, in which you follow the genjutsu basis and dominate my senses, making me see a copy of you. Begin by creating a non-moving servant before trying the paper bomb trick.

Alright. I start to focus my chakra and keep notice of the frequency you brain has. I slowly begin to let out my chakra, pouring it in your brain in order to dominate your senses. At first this goes rather slow, but after a while I manage to do it. I then create a copy of me in your head, letting it stay stationary.

Now let's try a moving one, shall we? *a turtle is walking by us* Turn the turtle that's walking by into a copy of yours. (of course you wouldn't be really turning the turtle into you, but rather replace it with a moving image of you)

I casually start by looking at the turtle, checking it out. I then close my eyes and focus my chakra towards your brain again. As you look at the turtle, I change the chakra vibes in your head. At first, no change occurs to you, but as you at the turtle some more, and you blink your eyes, you see a moving replica of me instead of the turtle.

Good work. *creates a clone* Repeat the same on (my clone and) an explosive tagged kunai which you'll throw at my clone.

I start to send out several chakra pulses towards your brain wave and scramble it. I create an illusion around my kunai with the explosion tag around it. I send it at you, and make it look as if a servant that looks like me is coming towards you. The kunai then explodes on impact.
