I saw the news 3 minutes after it was posted on Yahoo news but didn't bother to post a thread.
I think it's gonna generate some religion flame wars soon. I just hope most members behave themselves. I don't really want to comment on this topic frankly.

Really? This subject is far from what we've had in the past, which was usually either religion vs atheism, or Christianity vs science or atheism.
I wish he had stepped down, rather than getting killed. By staying stubbornly in his place, and fighting against the protesters, (who were his own people), he caused a lot of turmoil in his own country for...what, eight months now? And some of this things he did to the Libyans were sick. As in, cruel. Thousands of deaths.
Anyway, the country won't have to suffer in that sense anymore. Hopefully. Now they'll have to focus on rebuilding/recuperating. But then, there are probably still Gaddafi loyalists around.
I wonder what happened to his children. I need to catch up on news. >.<
EDIT: I've heard and read about what happened during his death, and have seen some videos, both youtube and on news (tv); what they did to him and his body was inhumane.
