how can Gaara protect Tsunade from the amaterasu? The hokage is too sluggish.

Leaning towards Sasuke since Gaara can only beat Sasuke in a desert, which not only does he not have here. He has to protect Tsunade.

While I don't like using he Databook, he has a 5 in stamina while Tsunade has 4 or a 4.5

Plus he grew up as a Jinchuriki who naturally have massive amounts of Chakra, and it shows.

Databook is canon. You can't argue with it. It doesn't determine who sins but Kishi says Gaara has more chakra

Oh my god......no its not, learn to understand DB stats before making any statements about them. Stats that are useless in a certain fight have no effect on the outcome thus you can't say "So and so has a higher total ranking so they are stronger"

Gaara has a low stat in Taijutsu and Strength while Tsunade has higher stats in both areas, those stats mean nothing to Gaara in any fight as he fights solely with his sand and he doesn't engage in CQC, same thing with speed he doesn't use it thus it can't be held against him, which is exactly what people who judge a stronger opponent using solely DB stats do.

So its my opinion that Gaara doesn't use speed, strength, or Taijutsu in his fights? Humor me some more.

Learn how to use the DB scores in fights correctly, you obviously don't know what you're talking about if you think that overall score means that person is the stronger ninja.

It depends.

If Sasuke starts out with the Amaterasu at the start, before Gaara can put up a defense, he wins. However, considering that you gave full intel, Gaara might simple use the same strategy he used against Deidara, completely covering himself (and in this case Tsunade too), and activating the Eye of Sand [

], so if Gaara uses the Shield of Sand to cover him and Tsunade, they should be safe, since as long as they stay in the air, Sasuke can't really get to them.

Meanwhile, Gaara could attack Sasuke with his Sand, and considering the fact that:

1) He has Tsunade at his side, granting him an almost endless source of chakra

2) This is MS Sasuke, meaning that the amount of time he can keep up the Amaterasu or the Susanoo is very limited.​

They should be able to outlast him, and in the end they'd probably manage to take him out.

However, this would obviously not happen if Sasuke decides to use Amaterasu right off the bat, since Gaara's Sand wouldn't be fast enough to defend against the Amaterasu itself (it only guarded against Enton)

So, in conclusion, Sasuke can win if he uses the Amaterasu the moment the match starts, but if not, Gaara and Tsunade take this.
