If regular sensory abilities worked against the genjutsu created by the 2nd Mizukage, they wouldn't have had to use Gaara's sand's physical contact sensory capabilities. I doubt Sasuke can see through the genjutsu since it is a continuous one.

The genjutsu would also hide Mu's location so he can prep jinton without going invisible.

Naruto has multiple techniques that have a very large AoE that can catch the clam or the Kage's without the need of aiming. Sasuke's Sharingan can also detect the movement of the illusion mist due to it being chakra and find the epicenter of its movement, that being the clam.​

People seem to be neglecting the fact Gamakichi and Aoda are there. Both animals can smell out the clam and attack it. At least, snakes can. They can sense thing by scent That's why snakes often have their tongue out doing this.

Naruto can use his sensory powers or summoning Ma to sense where Mizukage summoning is and kill it. This leaves the mizukage powerless, and worst case he dies.

Sasuke can use his sharingan to see Muu even if he is invisible and amatersu him.
