READ FIRST!!!
Before you guys go on posting how BM>>EMS, or how KCM>>MS, this thread isn’t about which would win in a battle, so calm your tits.
Now what I mean in the title is that both pairs of these “power ups” are similar in how they were gained and lost (This part only includes MS and KCM).
As we all know Sasuke’s MS was gained after his fight with Itachi. As well, Naruto gained KCM after he fought with the Kyuubi. So basically both of these involved defeating someone in order to gain the new power (I understand Sauce didn’t exactly know he would get MS, and Narco was aware of KCM, but that’s beside the point, since this is how he achieved the power up).
Now as to how they lost it, both of these power boosts hurt the user the more that they used it, i.e. Sasuke losing his eyesight, and Naruto’s chakra being taken by the Kyuubi, eventually resulting in death.
The next power boost (EMS and BM), however, helped them both in a similar way. Both power ups were free and/or given while negating the effects the last power ups had on the users bodies and at the same time increasing their abilities.
Well that’s pretty much it I guess, just something I found interesting.
