MS Kakashi vs Kakuzu (rematch)

Kakuzu runs his chakra through them. He doesn't store his chakra in them.

That's the only part that confuses me. They were able to move while he was dead but the manga said to use the elemental jutsu he needs to run his chakra through the masks, letting him access their nature element.

Since the manga is not clear about the wouldnt the best conclusion be that they allhave a portion of kakuzus ,chakra
