Gai knows how to fight a Sharingan user without looking at their eyes, and I'm sure we havn't seen niether fighter's full potential, but they are both ill. I can't really pick because they are both in my top ten faves.

Gai sensei. he can fight sharingn users without lookin into their eyes and is quick to dodge his jutsus.

this is tough... i'd like to say kakashi, but i can't say for sure.. arent they tied in their match-ups or something?? everyone knows that gai can fight a sharingan user because he looks at the feet.. but if they're so evenly matched in their match-ups, kakashi must have some advantage over him as well..

But kakashi with MS may stil see all of gai's moements begin able to dodge them. He won't be able to use kamui very effectively however due to gai's speed. Specially if he enters the gates.
But kakashi has his dogs which can help him track and hunt guy down. While guy has that turtle which does...the very special thing...um...you know...defense? yeah, IT SUCKS.
Then, we don't know if gai has any nature manipulaion technique or ninjutsu or genjutsu.
But my question is, can MS trace the movemnt of gai 6 gates?

Yeah I really don't think Kakashi's Kamui can catch Gai if he opens any of the gates so that won't help him in this fight. Also, I doubt Gai goes very high in gate numbers in their sparring matches because he wouldn't want to kill Kakashi. So if it was an all out fight I really don't think Kakashi would be able to handle 6 gates. He is pretty fast and his Sharingan would help him a great deal but if he blinks Gai will just appear behind him and fry him with the flaming peacock attack. But then Gai will realize that it was a Raiton Kage Bunshin as it disperses and electrocutes him (only if Kakashi was prepared from the beginning). And Kakashi will appear behind Gai to finish him off with a Raikiri which Gai will either manage to dodge or get hit by. If he dodges then Kakashi is finished... I like Kakashi better than Gai but Gai takes this one probably 2/3 of the time.

LOL EVERYONE WHO SAYS GAI WULD WIN...OMG...KAKASHI WULD DESTROY GAI!!!! THATS A FACT OMG....kakashi wont gai even let him get hit.gai must use the gates and thinks kakashi is beaten then he realize he kiled a bunshin.kakashi comes from behind with chidori.(like he did on kakuzu.)

thats what i thought but now everyone is saying the opposite so ya im confused but now after the explantions i think it would be gai

Kakashi did open the first gate but we don't and can't know if he can open more. We're only going off of what has been shown in the manga.
Besides even if Kakashi could open a couple more gates, Gai is a master at opening gates. Thats his main way of fighting (just like Kakashi's main way of fighting is with his Sharingan and he is a ninjutsu specialist). Kakashi most certainly hasn't trained his body to withstand the side effects of opening gates like Gai obviously has. When Gai opened 6 gates it took him like 2 minutes to catch his breath and he was fine. If Kakashi tried opening a high number of gates he would probably break himself like Lee did.
I still say Gai takes this all out fight the majority of the time.
