MS Itachi and Sakura vs 8th Gate Guy, Jiraiya and Tsunade

Mindset: In character.

Distance: Team Guy takes a triangular formation, Guy being the apex is standing 4 meters from team Itachi, Tsunade and Jiraiya are standing 10 meters from Guy. Sakura is standing 10 meters behind Itachi.

Conditions: Both teams have a clear visual of their opponents upper portions, Itachi is healthy and starts with both Mangekyo active, Guy starts in Shimon, Jiraiya starts in base, Tsunade and Sakura both start in base.​

I'd like to hear NB's honest opinion on this matchup. xd

The fact that Gai starts in Shimon, 4 meters from Itachi, means that he blitzes.
He can also fight without looking into an opponent's eyes so he won't get caught in genjutsu, and is fast enough to dodge Amaterasu.

I disagree; Itachi's Tsukuyomi would process faster than Guy can blitz. I do know that guy can battle is such a manner but that information doesn't really help giving the match prerequisites. ​

What in the ****...? If you're implying Itachi and 8G Gai are locking eyes from match start, at the absolute best, Itachi might manage to pull off Tsukiyomi while simulataneously getting blasted by EE across the map.

With 4 meters Guy busts Itachi off with EE. Sakura who happens to be behind Itachi shares the same fate. Team 2 is winner as they would have 2 of its members alive.

Gai cannot be faster than Tsukuyomi. For the simple reason:

Photons travel at the speed of light; since guy is within a workable distance for Tsukuyomi it would be successful then he seals Guy by immediately plunging Totsuka through his chest. I know this is a bull attempt, but this is a bit wrong here m8. You forgot that brain needs 100 milliseconds to process the image. The photons, e.g. light uses cornea and lens (mostly the cornea) to bend the light onto the retina. The retina takes the light and changes that stimuli into electric info that the optic nerves send to our brain. Vision "happens" in our occipital lobe, which is at the back of our heads above our neck. 100 milliseconds from 4 meters is pretty much a joke for Gai's speed.

Humans cannot see light speed (which should be obvious). Gai needs to process the image before such is done, and he'd be more than done before he was to be trapped in genjutsu.​
