This post marks the beginning of my mission using these storyboard elements:

Musashi looked around, this area being a large departure from much of what she had seen earlier, mostly due to its...normalcy? A tremendous river cut through the area, bisecting the continent that composed the Outer Lands into two distinct halves. A few smattering islands of land, dotted with forests, broke up the tremendous flowing body of water, and provided some respite from the rapids. Much like the mainland, there were tremendous trees on these island, with incredible density to their numbers, but Musashi did not notice many of the Stranglevines here, if any at all.
She welcome the cool air and fresh water over the putridness of the swamp, and took some time to detail what she could as she traversed the river across its surface, and stopping occasionally on the islands to catch her breath - the river was more like trying to cross an ocean, and traversing it "on foot" as it were, might not have been the best decision, she thought.
Still, it was incredible. Traversing through this area between the two twin halves gave Musashi incredible insight. She could see a tremendous storm brewing, or perhaps already in motion, over much of the island, that was shielded from her sight by the thick canopy she had previously been trapped in. Further, she could see what seemed like a deep scar in the earth as she made her way down the river, and even further...Stranglevines? Or something very much like them, only massive, piercing their way through the earth, revealed by the chasm she saw in the distance.
Unfortunately, from the position on the river, it was hard to really get a good concrete view of anything at all, and to gather more detail would require venturing forward.
With the sun falling below the surface, though, and Musashi exhausted from her travels, she had eventually made a small lean-to on one of the outcropped islands, and found a place to rest for the night.
When morning came, Musashi explored a tad more: the river cut through so much area that it was hard to really say it wasn't "dangerous", due to the variety of terrains it butted up against. But the river wasn't rife with rapids, and the small islands granted brief respite, but did not seem unstable or dangerous, nor large or numerous enough to pose a threat to any sea craft.
She thought for a moment, but her curiosity go the better of her. She wanted to see those strange, massive vines up close.
Heading towards the Ravine, Musashi continued her exploration.
