AN ARIZONA mother has come under attack for posting a video of her daughter breaking her feet after jumping from a roof in a bid to raise money for the teenager

Carrie Yunker created the page on crowdfunding site*gofundme.com*asking for $US4200 ($4334) to help cover daughter Nicole Easton's expenses while she recovers.

She breaks it down, saying she will need $1800 for rent and $2400 for things like food, phone and utilities.

Ms Yunker said her daughter could be off her feet for at least six weeks. She goes on to explain that the teenager has just graduated high school, has a good job and has moved into her own place.

In the video Miss Easton's boyfriend jumps off a roof into a backyard swimming pool and encourages her to do the same. But the teenager falls short and breaks both her feet on the concrete.

Ms Yunker's call for funds was met with an immediate backlash from the internet community.

"So we're supposed to feel sorry for your daughter doing something stupid?' Cory Noll wrote in the comments section of the crowdfunding account.

"I'm only 27 and when I was young and did something stupid on my own, I had to pay for the consequences, not anyone else. If anything, no one should donate and this will serve as a lesson for your daughter. She's supposedly an adult now and she'll have to pay the consequences for her stupidity."

Ms Yunker has since removed the video from the crowdfunding page.

"I really feel sorry for all the people that are so negative," Ms Yunker said in response to the criticism.* "I've never had, or even took the time to post such mean comments. I'll pray for each, and everyone of you as you sit, and type your negative comments to us."

Only five people have donated a total of $US80 towards her expenses.

Who in their right mind would think it was a smart idea to jump off their roof?

As cold as it sounds, I have absolutely no sympathy for her daughter. She is old enough to be aware of what could happen and accept those consequences; it could have been much worse if she landed on her spine or head.

Hopefully no-one else donates. Her mother is pretty much leeching off their sympathy to make some quick cash off her daughter's accident.
