I think hashi and naruto are extremely battle smart. They are parallel characters in many ways. Reflections of the other. They are basically really stupid until they both need to be smart...and usually that happens when in battle.

Other notably varied shinobi are Kakashi, Hashirama, Madara, Jiraiya, Sasori, and Minato.

I don't think that they were really stupid. Both have easy going and care free personality, but they're far from stupidity.,

I was going to mention kakashi and of course my favorite minato but i saw a few on kakashi and i dont feel minato has enough feats story wise to be mention but considering him being the fourth and all i need not say much for his tital speaks for its self

* Large variety of Summoning jutsu. A bird for flying and aerial advantage, relentless regenerating do, giant panda for defence, Bull for offense, Chameleon for invisibility and chakra camouflage etc. Summonings also provide shared vision.

* Long range jutsu - Missles and chakra canons.

* Large scale destructive jutsu - Massive Shinra Tesnsei (village buster). Shinra tensei is great offensive move too.

* Chakra Absorbsion ability - ninjutsu doesn't work on him

* Can fly - using both gravitation powers or flying bird summon

* Interrogation jutsu - Can find out truths and secrets from you, and gain all your knowledge just by ripping your soul out.

Sasuke hasn't shown anywhere near as much versatility as Nagato, he has no medical capabilities nor is he a sensor. Nagato EASILY trumps him in terms of versatility with the rinnegan.
